| Philipp Heinrich Erlebach's surviving music includes published sets of vocal and sonatas, and several cantatas for four voices with strings and continuo. Oboes are sometimes added, and trumpets and drums feature in the settings for the special feasts of Christmas, Easter and Whitsun. Several of Erlebach's cantatas are now available from Prima la musica! and several more are in preparation. Visit that site for the latest information. There follows a listing of Erlebach's surviving manuscript church music. The E numbers refer to Diane Parr Walker and Paul Walker's German Sacred Polyphonic Vocal Music Between Schuetz and Bach (Detroit Studies in Musicology No. 67, 1992). The B numbers I've added come from Bernd Baselt's 1963 Halle University dissertation Der Rudolstaedter Hofkapellmeister Philipp Heinrich Erlebach, of which his daughter Susanne kindly sent me copies. This style means I have a copy of the original material and might publish it, if I decide it's good enough...
