Rose, Ryne, and Everett race a different pace than the normal Saturday night with their vintage and custom rides.
Corey poses with the trophy to give the size perspective. Corey didn't want to let go. There was some money running on the track with the candy red Mustang, Batmobile, and Buick Riviera all seeing much needed sunlight out of the box.
This TYCOPRO Drag Bug belonged to Brian Edwards.
A beautifully custom painted Porsche 917 AFX Magna-Traction by Mark Tutton.
A rare Aurora Candy Red Mustang of Mark Smith.
This custom painted Johnny Lightning X-Traction Jeff Gordon belongs to Brian Edwards. This car was purchased from eBay already custom painted.
The Ford F-100 vintage AFX is owned by Ray Smith (not pictured). This TYCO Petty Superbird belongs to Jeff Crabtree (not pictured).
Both the vintage Aurora convertible Ford Thunderbird and the custom LifeLike Oldsmobile Cutlass Stocker were Slot Chaos shop entries. The Olds Stocker sports a changing paint scheme that went from greenish-blue to purple, and bronze.
The third entry by Brian Edwards was this Aurora Chevrolet Camaro SS.
Everett Edwards was proud of his beautifully custom painted Aurora Chevelle. This car was getting a lot of looks and looked even better on the track. Everett cruised with ease keeping his car in the slot very well.
Ryne Edwards owns this Tomy Ferrari in rare form with a G-Plus chassis underneath and two attached and unbroken mirror stems.
A beautiful and immaculate Buick Riviera with painted chrome trim in place entered by Brian Edwards. The chassis under this beauty was fast, and the whitewall thunderslicks kept the trim unscratched.
Rose Battisto entered two AFX Mercury Stockers that added a nice retro feel.
This custom painted and detailed Mark Martin Folgers car, owned by Mark Smith, pays tribute to one of the best paint schemes in NASCAR during an era of otherwise lackluster endorsements.
This Mako Shark of Jerry Schmoyer could be entered as both custom and vintage with an Aurora T-Jet 500 chassis carrying a resin cast body detailed very nicely.
Ryne Edwards likes his Ferraris and entered two including this Aurora Dino Ferrari. Ryne ran this car in the cruise and had some grip problems as his car was loose with no traction from the hard foam rear tires. Ryne did the equivilant of full lap burn-outs for the entire event.
The second of two Mercury Stockers entered by Rose Battisto sat on a very creative display built by Rose herself.
This brightly custom painted ride was also sprayed by Mark Tutton. Mark brought some great stuff to sell at the event, and it was good to see an old friend again.
Words can not describe the attention this Batmobile of Vince Battisto received. Vince, like daughter Rose, built an original display to mount this timeless treasure.
Vince's display came complete with rotating turn table with the Batmobile perched on top, a Batman and Robin figure, and a sketch book of blueprints for the original Batmobile. A lot of energy payed off for Vince on this day.
Rose's display mounted track with molding painted to depict a race track scene and victory circle on the infield. Rose's display was the best looking of all. Rose and Vince pose with the trophy that Vince won for Best of Show with his Batmobile.
