The Dumont Swim Club is actively getting ready for opening day, May 28th. The trustees are preparing for grounds cleaned up and pool opening. There is still snow on the ground but we can see the light! WE are recruiting for committee members so if you have any hidden talents please volunteer your services, we will find use for them. Membership dues are due by 1 April 2007 so please send it in soon..
John Kirchhoff, our pool manager and Jeff Schorling, Assistant Manager, will be with us again this year.
Swim lessons are available for children beginning at age five. Swim and dive teams will be available and a swim team co-coordinator will be announced soon We need a volunteer to handle publicity for our Swim & Dive Team events. Take some photos, and prepare a weekly summary of the event for the local newspaper.
Party planning will be available, please be sure to reserve the time and space with the office at least five days prior to the event. This helps to avoid conflict with other parties that are being planned by other members and it ensures that enough lifeguards are on duty.
Tube and Raft night will be continued again this year. Be ready for the fun to return on Wednesday evenings starting Wednesday, June 27th at 6:00pm. Wednesday will also be pizza night. If you would like to order pizza, please sign up in the office by 3:00 pm on Wednesday.
Senior Citizens (non-members) can come to the club every Wednesday and Friday for just $5.00 each day.
Memorial Day Parade - The Board of Trustees would like to invite any and all members to come and march in the Memorial Day Parade. If interested please call (201) 387-1560 to sign up. Any bondholder who marches may purchase a guest pass for $20.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with 50/50 raffles during the season. If interested, please see George DiCostanzo.
Guests - Members may bring guests to the club Monday-Friday for $4 per person, weekends $8 per adult, $4 for children 15 and under.
We can always use any old games that are still usable as well as books for our lending library. Please feel free to donate them to the club.
REMINDERS: Please notify the Swim Club in writing of a change of address or telephone number.
Members planning to resign must notify the Swim Club in writing by December 31st.
