Mc Farlane Tetsuo |
My first Tetsuo figure! Compared to the anime version, I think it's a bit ugly - perhaps a typical Mc Farlane victim of realism? Tsk
tsk. Despite my knocking, it's not a bad figure overall. The
interchangeable arms are a nice touch: gotta love the detail on both! A nice thing to stand around and look cool but it's not quite something you should hide among your (so-called) Bishie collection. ("Cute... cute... drool... Eh? What is THAT?") Oh well, just pretend it's cute. Or make it a little paper bag... |
As of September 2003, you can probably find this in some bargain bins at a Toys-R-Us or for VERY cheap on E-Bay. Very easy to find figure. |

Series 1 Gashapon Tet |
A nice tiny figure perfect for your desktop or car's dashboard. (Shhh!) Being more true in appearance to the
manga, (Volume 4, it looks like - even better!) it's pretty high on the cute factor. Putting it this little baby together is fun but... my figure's head likes to keep on falling off.
Hrrrr. One of my favorites of the Series 1 Gashapons for just the lack of small parts that like to sneak off and get lost. |
Only available in Japan so E-bay and some
specialty animé stores are you best bet. There is usually a set of the
series 1 Gashapon on E-bay but go at it fast - there are less and less
popping up so nab Series 1 while it lasts! |
|
(Nothing yet!) |
Series 2 Gashapon - Mutant Tet |
Don't have this one just yet so this shall be a first impression - It's pink and
fugly. =D Like a sort of freakish half-human, half-Jell-O baby thing. |
Series 2 is common nowadays but less and less
are seen. |

Graffiti Designs Statue |
AHHHHHHHHHH!! That was my first
reaction. So it's rare, it's old, and I'm going to take care of the
little guy but this is, well, not cute. Big deal, the pictures I've seen
of this guy are slander anyway; it looks much better in real life. (It
looks cool from the right angles.) At least the arm looks nifty. Yeah...
nifty! At least nothing shall ever attack my bookshelf ever again. |
Very very rare, only 1,500 made and prices are
often in the hundreds. Unless your die-hard, wait for a bargain. |
 |
Cel - Surprised Tetsu |
Yes, I got my grubby mitts on a cel! At 70-80 bucks, it wasn't that bad. The cel is in wonderful shape and good quality. The cel is seen in the movie here. =3 |
Cels are a rare treat, especially of a
wonderful shot of Tetsuo such as this one. Be warned that prices can
easily jump to over $100. |

Poster |
Just one of the many, most likely bootlegged, laminated printings of official art floating around. I stuck this in the unofficial section just for the lack of a disclaimer along the bottom - at least it doesn't mess with the art. :P |
E-bay has a ton of these for dirt cheap. Your local animé place may also have one or two Akira-related posters buried around somewhere. Nothing amazingly rare.
Bid with care because there is a tendency to get cheap hack-eyed printed
crap. |

If these were sticky, they'd be perfect. I got these from Tetsuo's Harukiya Bar! They're very cheap and quite nice looking, far from the seller's claim that it looks 'unprofessional.' ^_~ The art is adorable, wouldn't you say so? And they have infinite uses as well! Just use your imagination... Like on Seasame Street... =O |
These are less than two bucks for about 15-20 sheets. Very nice I think. Get'em here! |

Plushie |
I made this! =3 He's scary and cute at the same time but that's the charm of it. He's a little under a foot tall and quite huggable! Not to mention he's one of a kind as well. His widdle body is made from flannel, the hair is faux fur, and the cape some leftover material. (How fitting!)
