The unwitting mottos of...
Keynesians:
In order to save the economy we must cripple it.
Marxists:
In order to advance the economic system we must set it back to the stone age.
Leninists:
We must follow Marxism but we mustn't be impractical about it.
Stalinists:
We must follow both Marx and Lenin even if it makes us crazy and homicidal.
Neo-Marxists:
We must be following Marx, Lenin, or possibly Keynes, but we could be following Stalin for all we know.
Khmer Rouge:
Screw the economy--let's just kill everybody!
Environmentalists:
1) We must be following the neo-Marxists but we could be following the Khmer Rouge for all we know.
2) First comes Gaia, then environmentalists, then trees, then other plants, animals and minerals, and then people; this is the hierarchy of being from crown to foot.
Communism and Nazism
Communism honestly wants to destroy capitalist enterprise outright in order to make all economic activity benefit the State.
Communism is dishonest because, while it is theoretically internationalist, every communist country is nationalistic and often wants to dominate other countries.
Nazism is honestly nationalistic and wants to dominate other countries.
Nazism is dishonest because it is loath to admit it wants to harness capitalist enterprise to make all economic activity benefit the State.
