Issue 1 (Spring/551 MR)
MAIN STORIES:
The Memorial Galla at the Imperial City went, according to our informant,
"quite well". No money had been spared on this huge feast, in honour of
the fallen Empire.
The Chamberlain shocked quite a few by announcing that an Emperor
was soon to be elected, if just a few minor tasks would be accomplished
first. Which these where, we have no idea right now. But no doubt the
High and Mighty, will see to it, that their candidate will meet the requirements
that the Chamberlain set.
Sariminere 2nd:
Guilder Kalien, ever increasing his guild network, started getting a better grip
on the trade in the Imperial City. One of Kaliens local merchants said,
"Goods from the Free City of Endier, are superior to the ones from the other
merchants here, so the people will no doubt rejoice to hear that we're opening
up new vendors and shops".
Hearthland Outfitters started building their new shops in the Imperial City,
but after a half of day building, their construction was stopped.
Apparently the Guild had forgotten to apply for building permissions first.
An hour later, the construction continued though, since the guild could produce
that they really did have permissions. Apparently the papers had just been delayed
in the system.
Sariminerer 4th:
Prince Avan decided he needed a larger army. He also decided that Caulnor would
be a nice place to train parts of his large army.
Prince Avan, a reputed enemy of Boeruine, decided that Boeruine shouldn't be the
only one with influence in central Tuornen, so against the wishes of the Duchess of
Tuornen, Prince Avan started to gain influence over Haesiens local authority [Create Law].
He also started the building of a new Galleon.
Sariminere 4th:
Arch-Duke Boeruine went on a diplomatic visit to an unknown person in Taeghas.
Mean while more armies was trained in Boeruine too. Boeruine mustered enough to
ensure that he passed Gavin Tael in army size, and just about match Prince Avans.
Sariminere 6th:
Mhisticai, a intill now more or less unknown Wizard from the Colony of Mieres,
visited Brosengae. She kept to herself most of the visit, preferring to stay in the
wilderness.
Sariminere 7th:
The Mhor, sent his son on a Diplomatic mission to Ghoere. What was discussed are
unknown, except it included the transfer of some Law inside Mhoried.
The Mhor himself went to Elinie, to talk with the Patriarch. They came to an agreement,
and signed a defence alliance. The Guardians of Mhoried added a Scout unit to their
numbers in Dhalsier.
Sariminere 8th:
Medoere ever faithful to the spreading of the word of Ruornil, created a small shrine to
the Moon Lord in Tier. Orthodox Imperial Temple of Haelyn became quite angry because
of it, and wowed that the shrine wouldn't remain for long.
Sariminere 9th:
Heirl Diem, decided that there should be no more lawlessness in his realm, started hiring
lots of guards, watchmen and bureaucrats around in Diemed [Realm Rule Law].
Diemeds Lieutenant, was sent to close down the new Shrine in Tier, but had little success.
[Contest]
Sariminere 10th:
Hubaere Armendin of IHH, found himself a LT among the ranks of his young priests.
Elinie mustered a scout and cavalry unit in Chalsedon. If this marks a new aggressive
line
from the Patriarch, the East will surely see more trouble in the near future. Several of
the realms
around Elinie voiced their concern about the new unit trained.
Sariminere 14th:
Gavin Tael, Baron of Ghoere decided to get a better grip on his realm [Realm Rule Law].
He met with resounding success.
Sariminere 20th:
Several guilds, and temples ruled some holdings.
Talienir 1st:
The Patriarch of Elinie, honoured his second son, making him his trusted Lieutenant.
Talienir 2nd:
IHH went on a Diplomatic endevour to OIT. After a few days of talking, the two churches
had come to an agreement, and decided to merge. The new temple would be named
Imperial Temple of Haelyn. For now Briesen, and Hubaere would remain equals.
Talienir 3rd:
Guilder Kalien, after promising 20% of any profits from Trade in Ghoere to Gavin Tael,
opened up 2 TRs in Western Ghoere. Gavin Tael satisfied that he'd get his cut,
didn't try to oppouse the creation, but the local guild in Ghoere did.
Talienir 5th:
Prince Avan send a diplomat to Endier. No indication of what was discussed has slipped,
since Guilder Kalien ordered everyone in his household to remain quiet about the talk.
How this is to imprented, we can only guess.
Talienir 6th:
In the province of Ghonallison, almost 400 soldiers in the employment of the Duchess of
Tuornen
was slaughtered. The Duchess sent a team of investigators to the province trying to find
out just what had happened. The conclusion was quickly passed. The Manslayer had been
there. Most of the soldiers had arrows of elven design stuck in them.
Talienir 7th:
Boeruine hearing that Rhoubhe again was on the march, decreed that he'd help his
friends from Tuornen. Several Archer units was gathered to be sent to Tuornen to
help guard against similar incidents in the future.
Talienir 8th:
Boeruine Trading Guild sent a team down to Diemed, to try to open up a small
shop there. The local guilds there didn't like the idea of anyone trying to hussle in
on their terf, and oppoused it. Boeruine Trading guild pulled the last straw though.
Talienir 10th:
Medoere have decided to rid themself of the last hold of the faith of Haelyn in Medoere
[Contest]. After a long struggle, the priest of Ruornil had to come to terms with their
defeat. The new united Imperial Temple, was just too strong to handle.
Talienir 13th:
Gavin Tael deciding to keep a better watch on the trouble brewing in the south,
mustered a scout in Bheline, and a unit of Pikemen in Danaroene.
Ghoere also started with the construction of two new fortifications. One in Danaroene,
the other in Conallier. "Seeing the imperialistic ways of our neighbours, we
though
it best to prepere for the worst. After all we need to be able to guard our peaceloving
people".
Talienir 17:
Rumours have started to spread from the Colony of Mieres. Apperently the Governor
sent out a couple of ships with large amounts of people on, but when the ships came back,
only a tenth of the crew and passangers where left.
Just where they went, and why are still a pusle, and if the Governor gets his will is
might just
remain so for now.
Talienir 21th:
The Mhor attended a investiture together with Gavil Tael. Fhylie the Sword presided over
the ceremony.
Talienir 25th:
Several guilds opened up trade routes, and a couple of temples ruled their holdings.
Roelir 2nd:
Elinie's Patriarch visited the Hierophant of LPA. They discussesed matters conserning
religion,
and matters concerning the future of Elinie and LPA. The Patriarch clearly pleased with
the
deal he has struck, declared he'd come with a decree later in the month.
Roelir 6th:
Guilder Kalien, wanting to get as big hold on the trade in the Imperial City as he can
[Rule],
ordered the buying of a couple of emty warehouses. Unfortunatly for the Guilder,
Prinses Pride
had beaten him to it. Guilder Kalien was reported to be quite disapointed with when he
heard the
news.
Roelir 7th:
Heirl Diem, the robber baron of Diemed, found a loophole in one of his trade laws.
He set his beurocrates to make the law more precise [Rule Law], to make sure no one could
benefit from it. Unfortunatly a few days before the new law was about to be passed,
Diem's adviser, found out that it had to be rewritten again, since this law would in fact
produce a new hole in another section of the trade bussiness.
Roelir 9th:
Mhisticai went on a trip to Avanil to talk with the Prince. What they discussed are
somewhat unclear,
allthough a close aid to Avan, said it had to do about an oath of fealty.
Roelir 10th:
Prince Avan, said in a Decree that Duchess Flaertes of Tuornen obviously couldn't protect
her own
land, so to ensure that taxes would be collected by someone a little more reliable, he
would
make sure experienced tax collectors to do it for her.
Darien Avan send a delegation to talk with the tax collectors currently working in
Haesrien.
Several of the tax collectors quit their job immidiatly after the taxs. [Contest]
Roelir 11th:
Boeruine made a short speach about the poor people in northern Tuornen needed someone
to protect them against the Manslayer. Since it was obvious that Duchess Flaertes can't
handle the job, he would sacrifice himself, and do it for her.
Boeruine therafter ordered 2 Artilleri unit, 3 Archers, and 1 Pikemen to be trained.
Boeruine then lead a huge war-host into Ghonallison in Tuornen.
Sine the Duchess haven't given Boeruine any indication he might do so, Boeruine and
Tuornen
are now at war.
Boeruines vassal, Guildmaster Arien, created a trade route to Diemed the same day.
Duke Diem of Diemed, helped with this creation, going against the other guilds in his
country. And Prince Avan will no doubt dislike the implication that Diemed and Boeruine
is cooperating.
Roelir 14th:
Medoere against tried to banish the Imperil Temple of Haelyn from it's land.
But the joint effort of the two arch-prelates in ITH stoped this.
Rumours are that these two powerful men, now are getting rather angry by the repeated
trouble Ruornils Celestial Spell are giving them.
Roelir 19th:
Gavil Tael, bringing a small convoy left for Osoerde to have a talk with the importent
people down there. Gavin Tael gave a small speach stating, "I am a man of peace, and
seeing
how the poor people of Osoerde are at the brink of a civil war, I had to interevene.
Hopefully I can bring them together, and Osoerde again can take it's place among the good
socialty where it belongs."
Roelir 21st:
The Governor of Mieres, send some guards to arrest some people though to be responcible
for piracy. Since there was "more then enough" proof. The captain of the guard
excecuted
them on the spot. After this convincing show of the Governors will to make Mieres a more
just and lawful Colony, Brenlie and Ghaele was more then happy to hear that the Governor
had hire more guards to protect them.
Roelir 23rd:
The Mhor called for more people to come to live in his splendid province of Tenarien.
Tenarien has for the last few decades not been as populated as the precense of the city
Riumache tries to apply. Drawn by the offer of cheap houses in Riumache, settlers from
Tornilen and Traiward has began to move into the province of Tenarien.
The Mhor also strenghtend his garrison against Markazor.
Roelir 30th:
Princes Pride, the largest guild in Avanil, made several trade routes inside Avanil.
This ensures their position as the strongest guild in the area.
Of course Hearthland Outfitters, under the careful rule of Guilder Kalien, aren't far
behind in power. If the other guilds don't get more aggressive in their dealing soon,
these two just might soon have most of the trade for themselves.
The people rejoice as Haelyn's Festival again are among us. How the verious temples
dedicated to Haelyn are going to organize the feast this year, are still unknown by us.
Traveling bards can report that the armies of Avanil, and Boeruine should now number
over 6000 men. Ghoere has remained stable at under 6000 according to those who
should know. The Ghoeran general had this to say about it, "of course being a
peaceful
people, we have no need for a larger army then what's neccesary to protect our people."
