| SPRING 2003 MEETING SCHEDULE: We will be meeting on Mondays and Fridays this semester, as usual on the second floor of Social Sciences (room 220, on the Academic Quad of Duke's West Campus). Schedule: MONDAYS 8-10 P.M. and FRIDAYS 5-9 P.M. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Spring 2003: National Master and Correspondence Chess International Master Craig Jones will continue his series of lectures, every Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. All members of the Triangle chess community are welcome to attend. NB: if you are not a Duke student and wish to attend Craig's lectures, please be prepared to make a small (five to ten dollar) donation to our lecture fund. Non-Duke students are also welcome to come and play (for free, of course) during our scheduled meeting times. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Fall 2002: This year, the Duke University Chess Club is officially president-less. Instead, we have an exectutive board that will be in charge of events, planning, community service, and funding. The board for this year is Logan Allin (2003), Brad Marts (2nd Year, Physics Dept.), and myself, Aaron F. Hodges (2003). Please contact us with any questions, concerns, or ideas. Also, if you get the chance, give Logan a big thank you for all of the hard work that he did for Chess Club last year, and for the work that he continues to do. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Fall 2002: The chess club continues to grow. Many new members of all playing levels are coming to Duke University Chess Club. Our new meeting times for Fall are WEDNESDAY 6:30-8:30 and FRIDAY 4-7, in Social Sciences 220 (on the Academic Quad of West Campus). Stop by for a game anytime! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
