Mrs. Rosemary Grant's Recipes for Soup
Lentil & Carrot Soup
2 mugs lentils (red), 2 Large Onions, 4 large Carrots,
1 beef cube for stock. A Sprinkling of Parsley to Garnish, 4 Pints of Water
Boil together for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes.
Chicken Soup
1 small uncooked defrosted Chicken, 4 Pints of Water in a large pot,
1/4 cup of rice, 1 large onion, 2 carrots, chicken seasoning
Boil until chicken is cooked and remove from pot (about 2 hours)
Lentil & Tomato Soup
2 Mugs red lentils, 1 onion, 1 large tin of cream tomato soup,
season with pepper, Boil for 1 hour & add tomato soup at the end.
Potato Soup
2 lbs. potatoes, 1 onion, 2 carrots, 1 beef cube and some Rosemary.
Boil for 1 hour (Does not keep for more than 2 days - do not freeze)
