This is where it all started, and this is Sunset Crater, a local colcano that we camped by, We held a Summer Solstice there and no one showed up, so we just stayed there and camped, man it was windy there. John calls this place Crosswind Ridge
We went through Texas, too bad I didnt take any pics there where we stayed, the mosquitos were hanus, and fiesty. We ended up back on the road, passing through Oklahoma, then stopped in Missuri to crash,

This is basically how we ate, we heated up food from a Coleman stove, thats not so bad. The food still tasted good

Here was the campground in Missuri, about fifty miles away from St. Luis. This I have say was the most beautiful place, and this was the first time I saw a firefly in my life, they dont have those here in Flagstaff. I fell in love with them.

I tell you it was cold when I woke up, I ended up sleeping in a jacket.
Here was John at the camsite in Missuri. It just was so beautiful there, we hated to leave, but we had to be in Boston in a couple of days for the UUA assembly
This was a bridge that I saw going towards St Luis. And yes I got excited cause you dont see that much bridges like this around Arizona. Man compared to this, were bland
We went through St Louis, then through Indianaplis, it was smoggy and nasty there, and through Columbus, Ohio,. which we just caught the rush hour there. We ended up in whatI called a ghetto KOA, cause it was close to two Interstates, and a railroad. so that night was noisy. John has a hearing problem, but he actually had to use earplugs that night

Just behind those trees in the background, there was a pair of train trracks, and then there were the two highways. So it was a noisy night
I slept like a log, but woke up to someones jake brakes, (disel brakes on big rigs) but I still got up and had my tea and grits
