Catholic laypersons who have already received the Eucharist and religious may do a 30-day Novena of Communions by receiving Communion worthily on 30 consecutive days and reciting Pater and Ave for the good of the Church.  If you miss a day of communion, you have to restart the novena, but if you forget to say the Pater and Ave, just make them up within the 30 days.

Priests may also do this 30-day Novena of Communions, by saying mass on 30 consecutive days and doing the Stations of the Cross.

The promised benefit of this novena is the salvation of a soul that you name or that you leave up to Our Lord to determine who is in most need.  You can do it repeatedly, restarting after every 30 days if you wish, but the first time you do it, your own soul is included.  Therefore, the first time, you obtain the salvation of whomever you designate, and yourself.  Thereafter, it's whomever you designate only.

Our Lord does not interfere with the free will when promising that the soul will be guaranteed salvation.  What He does, from my experience, is change things as necessary in the person's life so that they will always wind up choosing the thing that will ultimately gain them salvation.  And since Our Lord knows everything, He foreknows the choices each of us will make.

Of course, in so doing, you might cause many changes in a person's life, including your own, depending on what is necessary for your salvation.  But whatever you see, just keep doing the novena until it's completed.  Don't be afraid.  And this is especially good for people you know are dabbling in drugs, or worse, satanism.

If you have a problem completing this novena, especially if you are already a daily communicant and never had trouble getting to mass before, pray to
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
