TUCKING IN, TUCKED OUTOur Winner Reader Have 911 For Dinner Starry-eyed, giggling nervously and comparing notes on that pop band, they waited patiently for their dreamboats to arrives. When 911 turned up, there were sighs of contentment, beaming smiles, shrieks of excitement and even tears of joy. It was their night, for these Galaxie contest winner winners were the envy of thousands of other girls and boys in Malaysia. They were here for a dinner date with 911's Lee, Jimmy and Spike. Sharon Chow, Cindy Wong, Esther Chong , Lim Yuen Har, Lau Lian Wei, Seow Tze Han, Kok Ai Lee and Lim Ming Ming, could hardly think straight when they met the boys, let alone order anything from the menu. The group, who won a phone-in contest, were there to get autographs and pictures of their favourite boy band. They did what most kids would do when come face-to-face with their idpls. An amiable Lee was temporarily speecless when Esther thrust aphoto ablum with 911 pictures plastered from cover to cover. "I don't believe this," a startled Spike exclaimed when he saw it. Tze Han, the only boy in the group, held his own manly encounter with the British lads, but was pleased as punch all the same when Jimmy and other two autographed his T-shirt . Altough 911 had been zipped through a tight schedule of interview and photo shoots that day, they still game, although alittle weary, for more photo-taking. After all, they were in their element with thier adoring fans who could not seem to get enough of the trio. To 911's credit, the lads were gracious and chummy with the winners, who in turn were execellent up a storm. They were just so normal," one of the winners later admitted after the absolute best night of my life!" yelled one admirer. And fairly so. SHARON YONG |
