New Hop-ups: RPM front bumper, Novak Rooster ESC, and front end stiffening.

I switched to the Novak ESC for a smoother throttle response. I found out that I like the sudden rush of power the Dynamite gives so I may switch back. I noticed that the front was real flexible so I added some tie rods to stiffen it up a little. I also added the RPM wide bumper to protect the front suspension arms. The new MIP shiny diffs. were actually for my Rustler but I thought I'd try them out on the Pede to see how they work.

I just installed the new Swami RC wheelie bar, Proline Masher 2000's and I stole the Trinity Titanite 15T Speed Gems Pro motor from my TC3. This sucker is non-stop wheelie action. It goes up so hard, even the rear wheels come off the ground. Lota fun. I still have a lot of run time with the Racer's Edge 3000mah Nimh batteries. I gear it between 12 and 14T pinion with the stock spur.

With the higher capacity batteries and the Trinity Titanite 15T double, that motor seems to run pretty hot after ripping wheelies for awhile. I am currently working on a small aluminum fan mount. I am working on this project with a low current fan that will mount on top of the gearbox that will blow cool air onto the motor/heatsink. I will post pictures as soon as I finish.

I installed the fan and fan mount. I spliced in the wires including a seperate on/off switch to the battery plug side of the ESC using Dean's Micro connectors. I tried it out today and I have to say It worked out great. When my motor started to get hot from ripping wheelies, I just turned the fan on and it kept the motor cool. I also tested it with a full battery and the fan running constantly from start to finish. There was no noticeable decrease in performance nor run time. The pictures you see was a rush job so it was not pretty, but I will end up lightening the mount a little (drill holes) and maybe polish it up. It works great! If you have any questions about it, please e-mail me.
