| Most moms join the MOMS Club of Dudley & Webster for two reasons: to provide an opportunity for their children to meet other kids and to meet other moms themselves. Our mission is to offer a variety of opportunities to achieve these goals:
Newsletter Delivered fresh to your email, it is the place to find out whats going on each month - new members, announcements, activities for kids and moms, our latest service projects, as well as information about local services and businesses. GOOGLE Groups You can use our online group to contact other members, post messages, share files, and obtain local information. Once you are accepted into the Club, youll receive an email invitation to join our members-only GOOGLE Groups area. Monthly Meeting The monthly meeting is an opportunity for moms to get together and hear what is going on with the MOMS Club. It also gives our kids a chance to play and socialize. Playgroups Joining a playgroup is a great way for Moms to get acquainted with other club members and share the experiences, fears, and joys that motherhood brings. And of course, it is an excellent way for your children to meet new friends. Groups are typically held once a week or bi-monthly depending on the need of the group and are generally formed based on childrens ages. Childrens Activities Each month we have a variety of activities that give kids a chance to meet other kids, learn new skills, and have fun. We offer a variety of activities for infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers, including open playgroups, story times, park days, play dates, arts n crafts, group tours, road trips, and much more! Many activities are free, while others have admission fees. Seasonal Parties More festive than our regular monthly meetings, we have seasonal parties a few times a year. These events include special crafts, activities, and treats for the kids. MOMS Activities While your child is no doubt the center of your universe, we all need a little time focused on our own interests. We offer a monthly MOMS' Night Out and MOMS' Movie Night and several special interest groups, including Book Club, Scrapbooking with Friends Club, Weight Loss/Walking Club, and Garden Club. Helping Hands Committee The Helping Hands Committee is a group of moms who volunteer to help another mom in need. These needs may be for a new baby, medical emergency, family crisis or any situation that causes strain on a family. Traditionally, Helping Hands has provided meals to help in times of joy or sorrow. However, other ways to assist could be with emergency child care or household needs. Volunteering for Helping Hands is a wonderful way to help a mom in need! Service Projects Every year the Club undertakes several service projects to support others in our community and surrounding communities and to promote the health and welfare of children and their families. With this in mind, weve supported several local charitable organizations, including the Webster-Dudley Food Pantry, New Hope Inc., and Early Intervention. Were always on looking for ways to help. Its a great way for moms to get to know each other while working together for the good of the community! |
