The Life of Omar Douglas
Now Omar Douglas is twenty-two. He is in the Wisconsin State Prison because he killed his stepfather with a toaster. Omar was in an argument with his stepfather, and decided in anger to make the toaster explode. At that moment, his stepfather was removing a blueberry bagel from the toaster. Omar made the toaster overheat, causing the toaster to explode and send pieces of metal flying through the air. One piece of metal went into Omar's stepfather's skull, causing death. Omar was not harmed, because the explosion occurred in the kitchen, and at the time of the explosion Omar was safely in the living room.
That is why Omar Douglas is now in the Wisconsin State Prison. He is awaiting his trail. Omar's lawyer plans to argue that no one can telepathically cause a toaster to explode. That is not true, of course, but it may get Omar out of prison. If Omar gets out of prison, he will use his power of controlling household appliances for good, not for evil. Omar plans to become a superhero. He could stop crime by using household appliances to attack evildoers and villains. But this could only happen if Omar is willing to lie, willing to say he did not kill his stepfather. Omar is truly sorry for what he did. He wants to stop others from making the same mistake he did. But Omar is tired now. He will sleep. For it is late, and his cellmate is already snoring soundly. Omar close his eyes, and drifts into sleep.
Omar sleeps, and dreams. Oh, how he dreams! He dreams a most wonderful dream: he is no longer in prison, but free to fulfill his destiny as Household Appliance Man! He dreams that he has dedicated his life to helping people, saving people, and stopping all that is evil. He is no longer known as Omar Douglas, but only as Household Appliance Man. The very name strikes fear into the hearts of those that would attempt evil. He travels the world, doing only what is right, just, and fair.
But yet, this is just a dream. A dream that would never comet true for Omar Douglas. That very night, Omar Douglas died in his sleep. Tragically, Omar had a heart attack, caused by stress and a high cholesterol level. Omar Douglas's hope of becoming a superhero, his dream of being Household Appliance Man, never came true.
