| POEMS I know a duck named Jim, Who would always like to swim. As he swam in a pond he would quack, "Bugs are my most favorite snack." Then Jim had a little bad luck, He found a few bugs that ate duck! The bugs began to attack, They wanted Jim as their snack. The bugs yelled, "Now you know how it feels, To try and not be somebody's meals." "No please, don't eat me!" Jim was screaming, But then he woke up, he was only dreaming. Then he promised never to eat a bug, If he saw one he would give it a hug. Instead of bugs, Jim would only feed, On green water plants such as seaweed. You should always be careful what you eat, You never know what might like your meat. There once was a man from France, Who taught a monkey to dance. And that little monkey, Wanted to be funky, So he started wearing bellbottom pants. I know of a young boy named Luke, A potato was what he would nuke. He went to play in the sun, The potato was overdone, He ate it and it made him puke. There once was a dying fish, Who ended up on a dinner dish. He asked not to be swallowed, Crying and begging followed, But he never did get his wish. There once was a old kangaroo, Who escaped from a very large zoo. He had to go back, To get his friend Jack, For he wanted to get away too. There once was a pig named Sam, Who was looking for his pet clam. And, by some bad luck, Along came a meat truck, So Sam is now bacon and ham. HOME |
