| Accolade Inc. began in 1984 and Ended in 1998. This site is dedacated to Accolades long Series of Test Drive's. I know Accolade has created many more games (Including: Hardball, Golf, Redline snf msny more) but these were by most the longest series. The first Test Drive that came out in 1987 was limited to just driving on a mountian road trying to get to your destination. The first one still had a good gameplay for the time by being able to stop at gas-stations in between and many sporty cars to choose from. It also had traffic to avoid and police that would pull you over. In 1989 Test Drive 2 was a land mark of the Test Drive Series. It included a varity of scenery and containd Head to Head racing with artificial AI and ENHANCED GRAPHICS! Accolade the Created Test Drive 3 the Passion in 1990. Test drive three offered 3d Enhanced graphics and allowed you not just to stay on a restricted road. It allowed you to take shortcuts to your destination. It also included many things like raido, wind sheild wipers, and rain. All the things to make you feel like you were in a real car. Many years later Accolade was joined by the Pitbull Syncade in 1996 by Creating Test Drive 4. It did not have the same un-restricted road. It became once again a regular racing game, Much better graphics and good game AI. Test Drive 5 was created in 1998. It would be the very last game created by Accolade. It ended the long Saga with excellent graphics, many cars and levels. There were other games in this Test Drive Series that were not mentioned. They were the Test drive Offroad Series, 1 and 2. Test Drive Offroad 3 was created by Infogrames. Test Drive Wide Open was created by Atari and the New "Test Drive". |
