  when ductape went to california he didn't know what he wanted. he just knew that it was time to make music. one day when his father and was helping him pack up boxes to move (to another place in San Diego), he placed a roll of ductape on the head of a statue. It reminded him of a duct tape halo. he reflected on his struggles to be a better person & artist, and the name stuck. from then on, he held his halo on just with duct tape and chased after his dream.
   this was the first album he released to friends and clubs. it features some of his classics, but it had many experimental pieces. influenced from techno, drum n' bass & electronica, ductape explored the full spectrum of sound.
   for example, 'mickey's' is all drum loops and samples of ductape talking about one night that a news program came on. it had made a bigger deal about binge drinking, than of a child stabbing his father. it just so happens that ductape was drinking a 6 pack of mickey's big mouth, a bottle of robotussin and smoking some Kind Bud.
