when I was in college, i wore this shirt. i was also loaded/folded most of my college life. it didn't end after school. this album is loaded with tracks and the performance was quite a drunk set.
live from dream street. 9/01, 10/01. this was from the first real shows of ductape halo. they capture the live act that has now evolved. the concept was to have it be a story of sorts, but didn't really finish like that. It was the first use of backing tracks. the child suite depicts the childhood of ductape halo, ending with
'edepis flex'. pronounced odepus flex, it is a chilling tail of a mother's dysfunctional love.
some of the high-lights are the live version of the fat song and masturbation songs. recorded back to back, they show the crowd's enthusiasm.
'hey' was the only cover done on the album, but it is an intense acoustic tribute to frank black. 'the view' was about living in california and being alone during the worst of his depression. It turned out to be one of the best live tracks.
