Teaching Philosophy
During my middle school years, I had some of the best experiences of my life in my math classes.  I found the concepts learned to be engaging, and I understood the significance of being knowledgeable with the information we gained.  Today I am even more convinced of my passion for teaching math, because I firmly believe that students should realize the necessity of encompassing mathematical concepts in everyday life.  I hope to actively engage them into mathematical processes by providing them with the proper tools and confidence to become successful.

I will strive to create a warm and safe environment, which is crucial for all students to raise self-esteem, independence, and confidence.  I strongly believe that it is essential to pour a strong foundation of the fundamentals of math to securely build upon, as future concepts become more complex.  I will make a difference in my classroom because I strongly feel that mathematical capabilities are fading in our new generations.  With so many technological advances, I am confident that I will be flexible and inventive with all of the available resources to enhance the student learning experience.

I aspire to focus my life on encouraging others to reach for the stars.  I want to teach more than anything because I feel the need to give the same warmth and encouragement to children, as I was blessed to have growing up.  I am confident that my love for teaching and passion for success will enable me to become and effective teacher.
