Desserts for Your Holiday Feast



APPLE PIE


1 double pie crust
3 lbs Apples
1/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar
1 TBS Lemon Juice
Cinnamon
Pinch Nutmeg
Dash of Ginger

Peel Apples, slice thin or thick as you prefer, put in a large bowl, sprinkle with Cinnamom liberly, add a pinch of Nutmeg and a dash of Ginger, 1/4 cup Light Brown Sugar and 1TBS Lemon Juice fold together

Sprinkle with 1 - 2 TBS flour put Apples into 9 or 10 inch pie shell dot with Butter or Margarine seal with top crust vent with slits.

Make a design with left over Pie Crust, such as an Apple or Leaves and arrange them as you want ontop of the Pie.

Bake at 350' F for 45 Minutes to 1 Hour, until Golden Brown and Bubbly.

Makes One Mile High Apple Pie


Italian Cookies


Ingredients:

3/4 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Sugar
4 Eggs
3 1/2 Cups Flour
3 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
2 tsp Annisette

Cream together Shortening, Sugar and Eggs(add one at a time) in mixer on Low.
Add Annisette, Baking Powdeer and Flour.
Continue to mix until dough is formed, thick.
Make a ball about 1" in diameter or shape equal amount of dough and place on cookie sheet
Bake at 300 F 12-15 mins

Icing:

1 Cup Powdered Sugar
2 TBS Warm Water

Mix until well blended.

**If desired you may portion out the Icing and add ONE drop of food coloring for a colorful touch.


Chocolate Mousse


Ingredients:

6 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup boiling water
1 egg
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (or liqueur like Kahlua, etc.)

Instructions:

Add chocolate chips and boiling water to blender; whir at high speed for 15 seconds.
Add rest of ingredients; blend until well mixes.
Pour into glasses; chill in refrigerator until firm.
Serves 2-4.
