01/05/2001 Tamon sits on his bed, not with anything of Aidou's, but rather with a book. He seems to be reading up on tactics. Alright. Neelkan is sure he's at the right room. One of the Dedicated said this was where Tamon rooms. And since he's sure, that means he doesn't knock at all before entering. He opens the door, steps inside, and immediately stops at the sight of a book and looses whatever insult or threat he was no doubt going to throw out. Instead he says, "Blood 'n ashes, so 'at must be yer secret. Light, no wonder ya beat m'." He doesn't crack open a book very often... Tamon looks up. "Actually, my secret is that I'm better than you, Neelkan." He says with a smirk. he puts the book aside. "What'cha need?" Hrmpt. How can his sister like this guy? He's always making fun of-- ... nevermind. Neelkan grumps softly and closes the door behind him before saying defensively, "I could kick yer milk-drinkin' backend if we fought with swords, I bet." But then he shakes his head, cursing himself. "'at isn't why I'm 'ere, so just lemme say 'is 'fore I change m' mind." Deep breath time. "'anks f'r helpin' m' sis out at the Grove." Tamon nods. "You're welcome, Neelkan. I was glad to do it in any case." He says as he relaxes against the wall. "That's the only reason you came by?" "I don't like the idea of m' sis bein'... friends with ya." Neelkan says, shrugging. At least he's honest. Some of the time. Tamon laughs. "And?" Tamon stands, quickly. "Aidou's a grown woman, and an Accepted of the white tower, Neelkan. Do you think what you care matters beans? It doesn't to mean. I'ld rather you liked me so that things are easier on her." Hrmpt. His thoughts don't matter, but she would throw logs at his head over any friendships she didn't agree with. She'd probably pound him for hours if she ever finds out he spent the two years away from home travelling with a bunch of bandits. No Aes Sedai would ever be able to Heal the bruise she'd leave. Neelkan watches the other man with narrowed eyes, "If I thought what I cared mattered, I would've told 'er t' stay the bloody Light 'way from ya. But it's none of m' business who she's friends with 'r not. I just wanna make sure ya understand 'at she's m' sister. 'n while I got five of 'em, she's the only one 'ere. 'n if ya 'r anyone else, 'urts 'er... I'll find some way t' make 'at person wish 'is ma'd thrown 'im in a river at birth." Ok. Um. Maybe he will threaten. A little. Tamon nods. "An acceptible bargin." Tamon says, his vocie shifting back to that cold emotionalessness that it was on their first meeting. "However, if anyone, including you, hurts Aidou, I'll see them in the Pit of Doohm along with their mother." Tamon says softly, his voice bairly a whisper. "Whate'er." Neelkan mutters, looking away towards the door while he grumbles under his breath. Something about how he hopes Aidou carries a lot of logs around this guy. Tamon chuckles softly. "Dont' get too mushy on me, Neelkan." Tamon says with a smirk. "I might start to think you care." "Care? Me? Please!" Neelkan says with a snort, looking a little angry(ier?). "'at's pretty much all I wanted t' say. Good day." He moves towards the door. Tamon nods. "Very well." he says as he goes back to his bed. "Let me know when you are ready to try beating with the swords." "I'll d' 'at." Neelkan says, before exiting with a grump. Any chance he could get Tamon to promise to keep his bloody feet on the ground during the sword fight? No? Didn't think so... Tamon chuckles and goes back to his reading. Neelkan's not much of one for recruitment, but Aidou is. The more of a wedge he can drive, the better.
