08/22/2000 Basements, White Tower, Tar Valon A labarynth of dark grey stone, branching off into various directions with no markers to indicate where they might be going. Dust is prevalent here, floating lazily through the air in an attempt to provoke sneezes and choking coughs. It is so thick that one can see footprints, indicating where traffic may be routinely going, and where it is largely absent. At the very end of the hall two men in white and gold livery guard a barred door. This is the entrance to the dungeons. No murmur of sound exudes from there out into this hallway, for important information not intended for the ears of all may at this very moment be spilling from a prisoner's lips. A locked yet grand looking door of arched redwood is seen at the end of a hall to the right. To the left a series of storerooms can be found, most locked or forgotten. Okay, picture this. Big basement, lots of rooms. The basements are a mess right now due to... um.. 'construction project' taking on by um... 'students' cause...they got 'punished' by a certain Gray Ajah member before that Gray ajah member got um... 'apprehended'. There, I think I squeaked by the mess. But a big mess.. shelves in the hallways and several rooms open with boxes set neatly in piles. Around one of the corners out of view of those students working out their punishment, the smell of smoke comes filtering through the basements followed by a dark thick black cloud. One might guess Christabel or Wyntere would have been practicing fire weaves with that much smoke, but alas.. One is in the dungeon and christabel is... somewhere taking care of general stuff. Espiria glances over to Neel, smiling as she shrugs. "I'm not sure exactly neel. I think she's allergic to something that's around her. It could be the hay in her cell. I'm going to try to fix that though so she at least feels a bit better. I'm glad your going with me. I know she loves seeing you drop by too." She sighs, pausing on the steps for a moment, "I know it's hard, neel, but we help her every time we drop by so she can see hopefilled eyes and happy smiles." She continues down the stairs, sighing softly before her head jerks around. What in Light's name is that smell? "Neel..there's something very wrong here.." Heading down into the Basements, a place he's become /all/ to familar with lately, Neelkan catches the first wiff of the smoke just when he was rounding one of the many boxes with that certain Accepted who shares the "punishment". They weren't heading down here to work more on the boxes this time though, instead they are visiting that 'certain Gray'. He is reluctent to visit her, mainly because he barely held back the urge to give the Aes Sedai guards black eyes and broken noses last time, and he was only there for a few minutes. But Espi can be quite convincing, and the words of encouragement as they head down are more then enough to keep him going. But if two Aes Sedai come out with black eyes in a few minutes... But luckily, the smell of smoke pretty much keeps that from becoming a possibility. "What the--?" He glances at Espi, and then speaks softly, "Somethin's wrong? Well, ye'h, I kinda noticed 'at too." Go get help... or investigate...? This is Neel we're talking about here. He pulls Espi's arm a little, trying to get her to stay back, then moves to look for what that is. Besides the obvious smokey smell. Some trainee had the presence of mind to run upstairs when he smelled smoke...and happened to run right into the Amyrlin and her Gaidin. So it is a frowning Mother who comes quickly down the stairs, seeming to glide even as she hurries, embracing the source reflexively. Since it's the trainee's shift to work on the basements and they can't doo much, cause.. well. water isn't readily availible down here. One of their heads jerks up at the smell of smoke and heads around to investigate it. "Hey, Johi! Go get help we have a fire in room #6. That's the one with all the wooden desks. The door is closed, but with that smoke... it might be for long. Hurry! There's two Aes Sedai in the dungeons with Wyntere. Some one go get them! Not like Wyntere's gonna hurt anyone!" With that Jim, starts glances for any sign of water or something to help put out the fire. And yes, what do you know.. trainees have brains and think before another tells them to get people. Raeth comes down the stairs right behind the Amyrlin. What in the light? Quickly making sure no one is hurt, Raeth squints against the heavy smoke and begins to head towards the closed door where all the smoke seems to be comming out. "Everyone out of here now!" That door doesn't seem like it going to hold for long, he pulls back. He figures an Aes Sedai and some water can handle this. Espiria shakes her head and pulls Neel along with her instead of letting him stop her way down the stairs, "Neel...Comeone. We've got to help stop this fire." She nearly runs over the trianee who hesitates since a fire in such close quarters will end up making people pass out before anyone gets help. "Stand aside trainees let me see if I can douce this fire before it gets too bad." She widens her eyes though at the amount of smoke pouring thru and she is nearly blinded by it. She coughs a bit, rubbing at her eyes and steps back. She hears Raeth and glances over to the Dungeon doors, "What about the Aes Sedai in there..and Wyntere Sedai. They will get choked by all this smoke if we don't get them out too." Aes Sedai? Oh yeah.. two Aes Sedai coming running in from the dungeons leaving their posts of shielding Wyntere. In unison, they both seem to yell out, "Those who can't help get out!" And yep, they are still embraced. Seeing the Mother, they hardly nods to her.. this is an emergency. "We can help with water weaves. That's no problem." Yes, they might get in trouble for leaving their posts, but... One is a Yellow and the other's a Red. They come from McDonald's. Opps.. wrong world there. Neelkan growls as Espi insists on going further in and grumbles something about foolish women, but he doesn't try to stop her again, and stays right behind her, looking around through the smoke and trying his best not to start coughing. Fire never much bothered him before. In fact, he used to set a lot when he was younger. Burned down a nieghbors barn by 'accident' once even... But that isn't important! If this were a lake he was wading into, he might be more afraid or cautious, but this is just fire. Feh. No big deal here. But then he hears what Espi has to say he almost breaks into a run towards the Dungeon, but stops as the Aes Sedai come out and starts sproting orders like a tree sprouts leaves. He isn't going anywhere, thankyouverymuch. He squints around as best he can, trying to remember how they put out all the fires he used to set. Besides the obvious. He'd rather avoid water if there's an alternative. And all this time he keeps a hand glasped on Espi's sleeve. Nope. Not going anywhere. Raeth begins to urge everyone else out, there isn't much he _can_ do. No water, no nothing to quench the fire. He begins to cough, eyes watering at the smoke. "Where are those...." There the are. Hurry up Sedai. Raeth turns towards his ward, keeping an eye on her at all times. Kaomi has a plan for the smoke. Air surrounds it, trapping it against the ceiling, taking care of that small problem. She remains perfectly calm, completely unworried about events, though curious about them. Yes, there is one room on fire! And it's burrning... you can see small flames come out from under the door now. Did someone bring Marshmellows and Graham crackers? And never forget the chocolate. And yes, this poses will get worse unless someone takes action. OH nO!! the Tower's on fire!!! Espiria glances at the two AS who just left the dungeon and blinks slightly. Wait. Wasn't there just a White and a Brown down here? She glances over to Neel, blinking to try to clear the smoke from her eyes and she looks back again. A Yellow? She widens her eyes just a bit, taking off to run toward the dungeons herself. Yup, she's worried now. She whispers to Neel as she heads that way, hoping Mother saw that. If not, Espi will just have to tell her later. She glances over to the room with the fire, eyes narrowing as something crosses her mind. Not good. Not good at all. She doesn't like how this looks. How could a fire start when noone was channeling fire? There were only trainees around here. Wait. She grabs a trainee running by, "Were all of you just in here? Or have you been here for awhile...." She glances over to Neel frowning badly, "Neel..can you take care of asking him this? I need to deal with that fire..or at least help if I can. And check on Wyntere Sedai..." She hurries away from him and gets as close as she can, embracing as she does. Well, here does. She makes a very wide weave of water, mesh thick and nearly making the air drip as it moves. She frowns, angling it so that it will slip under the opening at the bottom of the door and hopes...Light make it so...that it will put it put before the door blows off the hinges. Ok. When he used to set things on fire they'd throw water or dirt on it. Or if it was bad enough, they'd just let it burn itself out and do their best to keep it from spreding. With the smoke secured on the ceiling, it's a lot easier for Neelkan to see, so he looks around, taking in what he has to work with here. He growls at Espi as she goes and tosses the trainees at him. He wants to help, damnit! He grabs onto the trainee and gives his arm a good shake, "Now what in the bloody Light happened t' set 'at, 'n did ya see anyone go in 'ere 'r out?" He glances over at Espi. While he can't see the weaves, he can see the effect. Ew. Water. "Why dontcha just cut off the air in the room 'r somethin'?" That's what they'd always yell when they'd try to smother it with dirt and blankets and stuff. But he doesn't really know how channeling works yet, but if they can cut someone off from the power, why can't they cut off a room from air? And no. He is not getting out of the area. Even if he is in the way. Water!! The fire seems to subside only for a moment before the door blows making the fire get only worse. Now, yes.. an ordinary wood fire would be put out with water.. But, who said this fire was ordinary? And so the flames continue on and stronger than before. Burning more of those old, dry desks in there. Quick, think.. what are the three things that start a fire? And that poor trainee looks to Neelkan. "Um... I've been here... there are lots of people that come down here... but I've been to busy to notice who." And no one looking suspicious neither. Kaomi flings up a shield of Air against the inevitable door shrapnel, around herself, Raeth, and anyone close. A big piece of timber bounces off an area right next to her nose and falls off. She frowns darkly. "What kind of fire is that?" she asks, not really expecting an answer. "Smother it is right, Espiria." Raeth suddenly spins around almost about to pull the Amyrlin down just as the piece of timber bounces off. He freezes and turns around and gives the Amyrlin a quick look. That's it. "Fire needs air. Is it possible to seal off that room so that no air can come into it? The fire will die out on it's on." He yells over the noise. Espiria shivers a bit, feelng that the water didn't work and now she's starting to sweat from the heat that the door is giving off. She glances over to Neel, nodding and to Mother since they have another idea. Okay, take all the air out of the room. She takes a deep breath, starting slowly at first as she pulls the air from the room after first sealing the door in what would have to be called a bubble. She tips her head to one side, carefully pulling the air from the room from a small section that seems to only works one way. Slowly but surely she's getting all of the air out of the room, but it takes time. She takes another deep breath and pulls the rest of it out. Good thing the bubble that seals off the door is tied off because Espi looks about done in. Air isn't her specialty. Around the corner in the basements, several are standing around basement room #6 that has burning old desks in it. Espiria has put an air bubble around the door to the room and is now trying to suck air out. For some reason, the fire through the air bubble still seems to grow. Alright, we tried water and that blew the door open. And now the sucking the air out still seems to make the fire grow? At least it hasn't spread to another room. Thank you stonewalls! Or has it? And little oh me, the firestarter, is seeing back with smores watching the havoc. Oh.. another thing, the basement is a mess due to a punishment given by a certain MoNster before she was put in jail. Denn'ryiel enters the room right before Espiria's weave seals the door. She looks around a little bewildered, expecting to find a crisis but not knowing what it was going to be. A hand comes to her mouth as the smoke is likely drawn to the bubble as well as the air. Letting go of the Trainee had had grabbed, Neelkan makes it clear that he's going to want to talk to him later in a soft growled voice, then heads back over towards Espi who isn't looking to good. He puts a hand on her shoulder, offering her support and letting her know he's right behind her again if she has to go and fall back. Scared of a little fire? Nope. Not this young man. He just squints at it evilly, wondering how on earth it started and what it's doing. So sealing it off isn't working? He'd suggest knocking the ceiling down on it to smother it, but he's not sure if they'll like him suggesting knocking parts of the Tower down... In a dramatic attept to enter the room before it is sealed, Keay dives through the door behind Denn'ryiel. She lands sprawled on teh ground but quickly stands up looks around and does a very Brown assesment of the probleming anything, quite yet. The Mother stares at the fire, for once at a loss for what to do. "That's like no fire I have ever encountered," she says flatly. She smooths her stole. Its under control for now so she is hardly panicking. Raeth glances around and figure no one heard him about sealing off the room. Either it was a bad idea or it can't be done. Hmmm, stone walls. It might...." Is there a way to cause an explosion in there. It'll blow the fire out. I'm just not to sure if the walls will hold." They are hard stone walls after all. Raeth is quickly running out of ideas. He spins around. Great more guests. Do you have a death wish? Espiria glances around for a moment for any other idea, but she does see Keay and Denn now in attendance. Her ears catch Raeth's suggestion and she nods, "I can't do it though. Either of you want to try something?" She directs this to Keay and Denn. She glances back to the bubble to make sure it's still holding, but she's not sure for how long that will be the case. She leans on Neel a bit, coughing a bit more as the smoke and heat start getting to her a bit more. She /is/ fairly close to the door from her last attempt. Denn'ryiel tries to peer through the flames, squinting to see what is burning. Her mouth opens to suggest water, but closes before she can give it voice. It's too obvious a suggestion not to have been tried already. "What is burning?" she asks instead, trying to see through the flames. "It looks like desks. If we can break those apart, and spread out the pieces, the fire might die down." Might. But then, who heard of a fire that could burn in a vacuum? Hmm.. someone is onto something. Fires don't burn in vacuums. So, if the air being pulled out has made the fire get bigger... Am I just being plain mean? Um... don't answer that. Supporting Espiria as best he can, Neelkan just holds onto both her shoulders and lets her lean back against his chest. He isn't about to let her collapse an hurt herself after all. He narrows his eyes, watching the fire, then notices something. It takes him a moment or two to say anything, because he's perhaps making sure it isn't a smoke illusion, then he lifts one hand and points forward, "'ere's a hole 'r somethin' in the back of the room, near the top. Like a vent 'r somethin'." Bigger ones he'd probably crawled through one or two times during his thieving days... "Is 'at why the air thin' didn't work?" He doesn't have a scientific mind, but he's trying to think here. He glances over and looks at the others. well? He's not going to ask Espi to do anything more though. He offers a small smile as he notices Denn, but can't say much more. Keay thinks then blurts out, "All right. This fire isn't following natural laws. COuld we try to use nature in reverse?it could be dangerous though. if we feed it more air it could explode on us. ." Denn'ryiel nods her head to the Keeper. "Perhaps... but has anyone attempted to shield this fellow, or strike at the fire with Spirit? Maybe it hasn't gone out because it's Saidin-fed." Espiria glances over to Keay and Denn, nodding several times. "Maybe if one of you can block that hole back there." She points, tipping her head to one side to see which direction the hole goes. "Then the other one can take the air from the room? Wokring together we should be able to get that fire out now that we see the hole." The bubble still rests over the opening, keeping most of the heat back, but she looks. "I'm not sure how much longer that bubble will hold out, But if someone can pull the air out while I keep the bubble going, I can drop it for a moment for the other one to shield that hole. I can throw the bibble back up and the 3d one pull the air out." She glances over to Denn and Keay hoping they decide between them who will do what. "I'm not sure how much longer it's going to hold as it is now though..so let's do this quick." Keay smiles, claps her hands together, grabs the POwer and looks to Denn'ryiel. "I'll suck you block?" Oh yeah.. forgot about the McDonald's Aes Sedai. (One Yellow and one Red) The tow of them are seeing to the trainees. We got one that got so scared and he's a little fellow, so.. he sort of.. made a mess down the front of his pants. Poor Yellow is dealing with that. And the Red is still trying to hold back the crowd trying to watch the Aes Sedai at work. Moveing his hands back to Espi's shoulders, ready to catch her if she starts to fall, Neelkan nods his head and just watches for now. Even though he can't really see what the women are doing. Sometimes he wishes they created glasses so that men could see the weaves the silly women are doing. That would be so cool. A lot better then standing around staring blankly like a silly person. And he just /looks/ at Keay. He... Will... Not... Laugh. Denn'ryiel looks at the hole warily, as she listens to the Accepted's plan. "Very well," she says, swallowing and trying to look Sedaish. She switches her focus from Spirit to Water, and her eyes loock upon the hole. There's no way she has the strength to block it with air, but ice is another matter. Keay forms a funnel out of air, always one to be artsy even in times of crisis and gets ready to form a ciphon. "Ready when you girls are Kaomi notes that the Aes Sedai have everything under control and releases the Air shield around herself and her warder. She slips quietly down the stairs, taking advantage of the confusion to make sure Wyntere is alright. Espiria nods, taking a deep breath as she gets the bubble ready to pull back. They won't have much time for the fire to try to get out of the room so it all has to be rather quick. She glances over to the other two, counting aloud, "1...2..3..Now!" before the bubble comes off, but she has a stronger bubble ready as soon as she touches her old on..ready to drop back into place. Neelkan holds onto Espi and tries to look like he knows what's going on. He really needs to get himself one of those glasses. Or maybe a book titled 'Channeling for Idiots'. Ice quickly forms over the vent, reducing the opening to half its size, then half again. It continues to diminish to the size of a pinpoint before disappearing completely. A small satisfied smile crosses Denn'ryiel's face. Keay slips the end of the funnel into the room and pulls the air out. It comes slowly at first but the steadily onward. S Once the room is sealed and the air starts to funnel out... The fire soon dies down. Now what caused that silly thing. Espiria frowns deeply, shaking her head as she fire finally goes out. She drops her bubble, glancing at the others as she carefully steps toward what is left of the room. She sighs softly, glancing at everything very carefully as she steps over the pieces of desk that are left intact. She too wants to know what caused the fire. It just wasn't normal. Seeing that the danger is gone, keay slowly makes her way towards the door, a Keeper still has paper work on top of emergancies after all. SHe does flash Espiria a look of "I expect a full report on your findings" before leaving though. Moving over to Denn now, leaving Espi now that it seems she won't fall over Neelkan offers a smile and nods, "'ey. Good thing ya showed up 'en ya did." Then he glances over at Espi again, "If ya can't find anythin' in 'ere, I'll give the Trainees at were down 'ere a good talkin' t'. 'ey'll wanna tell m' if anyone important came in 'ere 'en I'm done." No. He won't be too mean or evil. But he's going to make it sound like he will. May be a trainee lingering in hearing distance. Denn'ryiel looks a little tired now that the channelling is said and done, but her face lights up as Neelkan approaches. "I didn't do much, Espiria did all of the hard work." She turns an approving smile to the Accepted, but is unable to keep her eyes from Neelkan for long. "Are you injured? You weren't burnt or anything, were you?" she asks somewhat nervously. Scene pose: Around a charred room stands a few people (namely the ones listed in the room). They are looking at the room trying to figure out how a fire got down here. Espiria pokes around thru the rubble of what used to be a room full of furniture. Right now thought it probably looks more like someone had a cookout and forgot to dig the firepit. Espi eyes are keenly set on the things that were left behind. Searching to see if anything unusual was left behind. She stops for a moment, turning a few chunks over. Hmm..no nothing there. Here? Nope. She gets back up again and keeps going. Everyone else is forgotten at the moment as she tries to figure out what's happened. Neelkan glances over at Denn for a moment, then shakes his head, "Nawh. I didn't get 'at close t' it. Just a lil' smoke in the eyes. Nothin' t' fret o'er." He offers a warm smile, then glances back towards the room, moving a little further in and glancing around to try to see what caused the whole room to go up in smoke (literally). He didn't set it. But someone obviously did. And Espi said she didn't feel anyone channeling. Why would they set it though...? ... Corain sniffs the air and follows the smell of burning down into the basements. Is there food down here? No... it doesn't look like it. The new trainee stops at the bottom of the steps and looks around, brows furrowed at the sight. Neelkan is the only one Corain recognizes, though that is tucked down under a mask of curiousity until it can be all but forgotten. "Wh-" ahem. "What happened down here?" Denn'ryiel doesn't answer Corain's question immediately, as she assumes an Aes Sedai face and begins investigating as soon as Neelkan assures her that he is alright. "Fire." She finally says, before turning her head slightly to Espiria. "Remember the lessons where we said that you shouldn't try to tie off a Fire weave?" she asks. Espiria glances over to Neel and Denn only then noticing the new face, "Trainee? Would you come over here and give me a hand? I need to check this thing.." She motions to the desk that is charred. And it's Corain she was speaking to. "It seems we had..a fire." She smirks gently, being all business but also having time to quit a joke or two. "If you could give me a hand here I would like to see if the fire started here." Glancing over at the voice, Neelkan suddenly tenses all over. Blood and ASHES!!! Not he--uh--him? ... Grrrrr. He glares and grumbles for all he's worth (the tension in him is even higher then it usually is when another Trainee named Varcel walks in...), then moves over to help Espi out as well. The other trainee is not here. If he ignores, maybe the trainee will vanish! Yeah... maybe that'll work... Poof. Go byebye. He's tense all over even if he's trying to ignore it. What? Do him and the trainee have a past disagreement of somekind...? Corain barely looks at Neelkan, and seems perfectly relaxed, if a little distant. There is a nod to Espiria and a reply, "of course. My name is Corain by the way." It would hardly do for a certain other trainee to slip and call this one something else now would it? Cor grips the other side of the table and between the two of them lifting it up is no big deal. "A fire, down here?" How it happened would be asked, except that that seems to be what they're trying to figure out, so the trainee remains quiet on the subject. Brown eyes throw a glance over towards Neelkan finally and the look on the trainee's face is slightly amused, as if trying to say 'Geez, calm down.' Espiria lifts her brows after the trainee heads over to her. Did someone say something? OH, that was Denn. She tips her head to one side, blinking as a shocked look get on her face. "That's it! Denn your a genius!" She even forgot the Sedai on the end she's so excited. She catches herself though and chuckles, "I'm sorry...Denn'ryeil Sedai. But that must be it. Someone tied off fire." She rubs her chin getting soot all over it but not even noticing. "It..must have been shomehow timed?" She glances over to Denn, "What do you think. That would certainly explain the reason it wouldn't go out. It wasn't a natural fire at all. Of course, we pretty much figured that out." She chuckles softly. Thinking again. But that would mean they were timed? Timed for what. She darts a glance over to the dungeon door and a cold dread crosses her. She tips her gaze back to Corain nodding gently, "Good to meet you, Corain. I'm Espiria. Would you mind turning over a few more section for me? I will be right back." She turns from him glancing at Neel for just a moment on her way toward the dungeon doors. Denn'ryiel purses her lips slightly as she embraces Saidar to enhance her senses, and confirm her suspicions. She runs a finger across a desk top charred black. Turning her head, she raises an eyebrow as she sees Neelkan worked up. Over a trainee, this Corain? What could have caused that, she wonders to herself. Espiria's answer startles her out of her train of thought. "Yes... the thing is, since it isn't done much, it isn't practiced well. Tied off Fire weaves don't dissipate as well as other weaves... mostly because they aren't worked with nearly as often. I can still sense some of the Saidar, I'm sure of it." Don't leave him here alone with the evil one! Well, at least Denn is staying. Neelkan bends down and helps turn over a few more sections, letting 'Corain' do some of the wor too. Corain, hmm? He grumbles once, still rather tense before mumbling, "Like the name 'Cor'." Sense a little spite there? Maybe a little... He glances over at Denn as she talks about sensing something and his tension softens, and he even smiles for a minute. Yes, he knew that Denn was a genius. "Good work, Denn." Sedai? Not from this young man. Nope. He looks back at the trainee and his mood does a total turn again. Grrr. Corain chuckles softly and grins at Neel, the scar crinkling up and becoming like a sinous worm climbing up the trainee's face, except that it's partially obscured by spikes of brown bangs cut as if... nah, it couldn't be that they're there to intentionally cover the face, but they do seem like they might get in the way. Remembering, Corain bows quite elegantly to the Sedai, "Aes Sedai," and proceeds to help move some more debris out of the way. "Thank you." If the young... person notices Neelkan's grring and glaring it is payed no more attention, though the relaxed attitude does fade a bit at all the talk of channeling, but the youth is Essenian after all, so that shouldn't be a surprise. Denn'ryiel turns away from her investigation while Espiria is away, and her attention is drawn to the two trainees. Well, obviously if Neelkan is acting this way, this is an acquaintance of his. Probably a friend he had a bad conversation with recently, right? She walks over to the new trainee and looks at him (not over him). "An honor to meet you, Corain," she says with a slight smile, perhaps encouraged a bit by the bow. "I hope your fortunes are favored during your stay here." Espiria heads back out of the dungeon looking much relieved for some reason. She heads back over to the desks after giving Neel a nod and smile. Yes, Wynt's okay..for now. She heaves a sigh, nodding to Denn as well with that relieved look still on her face before she heads up to Corain. "Thank you for the assistance, Corain. It was greatly appreciated." She goes back to looking at the desks when something strikes her. Hmm...interesting thought but it will wait till another time. First thing is first. She starts poking around the debris again, shaking her head slowly as she falls into that odd stare again. Yup..her mind is far away right now as she searches the area again. Nonononononono!! Stay away from Corain, Denn! Neelkan lifts his head and looks fit to yell at them all to stay away from he--eh--him. Grrr. This is so unfair. He straightens up and glares over at Cor, then looks helplessly as Denn starts to make friends. Don't make friends. And his 'old acquaintance' could probably see that he happens to like the two young (well, young looking...) women in the room. He grumbles, kicks at the debris a little. Corain grins even more at Denn and nods. "I certainly hope so as well. That is.. the plan anyway." A hand lifts to the hair in the trainee's face, but instead of brushing it away it runs through it and actually pulls it down a little more. Maybe Cor just thinks it looks good like that. Actually.. it kind of does look good like that. "If there's anything else you need," is offered to be Denn and Espiria since they seem to be in charge. Brown eyes flick towards Neel again from under the spiked bangs, but the look there is completely unreadable. Someone's got a good poker face. Espiria sighs softly, glancing around the room again before she rubs her chin and gets a bit more soot on her chin. She raises a slim brow to Cor before she offers a smile, "No..I think that will be all. Thank you, Corian. You have been most helpful." She glances back to the debris embracing again for a moment before she widens her eyes, "Aha. I see now." She falls silent again, shaking her head, "Very ingenius. But foolish as well." She rises from the floor, biting her lower lip before she glances at Neel. "I will still need your help, Neel. But Corian? You are free to go back to your duties now." Neelkan resists the urge to shoo the other trainee away, and instead steadies his expression a little, except his eyes are still rather tense. "What's ingenius?" He asks Espi, glancing down and not seeing whatever it is she sees. Must be a power thing. "'n what d'ya need m' help f'r?" Is he going to get to do hard labor...? (Insert sad face here) Then he motions towards Corain, "He can lift thin's pretty good if 'at's what ya got in mind." he says with an evil grin. Yeah. Make 'him' do the hard labor. For a moment brown eyes narrow slightly at Espiria, not in anger though... more... annoyance. 'He' lets out a breath upwards the lifts the bangs a little before letting them back down. "Look.. this is a pretty big mess. Do you really want to clean it up on your own?" Corain will show you how well 'he' can lift things if you aren't careful Neel! ;) They never did get to have their duel... and if Neelkan thinks he can avoid it now he has another think coming. Anyway, "so, unless I'm being dismissed," and there is just the tiniest edge to the trainee's voice at that, "I'd be happy to stay." The voice returns to normal and the face regains it's rather charming smile, the head tilting to one side slightly. Espiria glances over to Cor, lifting a brow slightly. Boy he's got a long way to go, doesn't he. Her eyes tip back to Neel and she shakes her head, "I need you're help, Neel. Your..special help for now." She glances over to Cor smiling though she really doesn't like the boy's attitude. "Not at the moment, Corian. Please if you will feel free to bring a few of the other trainees with you to help clean up this mess, for now though you are dismissed back to your other duties." She turns toward Neel and motions him over to one side, but glances over to Cor to mkae sure he is on his way up before she speaks speaking again. Special help? He glances around as if making sure no Aes Sedai or a certain Trainee named Varcel are around. No. Not /that/ kind of special help, Neel. Grump. He moves over and leans in to listen to what this special help is, lowering his voice so Corain likely won't hear it, "Has t' do with Wyn, don't it?" Not a total idiot after all. That's why she wanted his 'special help'. Though he was a little tempted to believe something else entirely for a minute there... Corain bows smoothly to Espiria, "Of course, Accepted." 'He' doesn't even glance at Neelkan this time as short (for a man's) strides carry him back up the stairs and out of the basement. Espiria heaves a sigh and nods to Neel after Cor leaves, "Yes. It does. This was clearly a set fire and only someone who could have channeled could have set it this way. Look..I need to run and fill Mother in on this. She needs to know what happened. I'll meet with you back here once I'm done, alright?" .... Neelkan glances around at the charred remains of the room and shakes his head a little, "How 'bout somewhere else. 'is place'll be crawlin' with people cleanin' it soon prolly. How 'bout the room 'at we were gonna move the Brown's boxes int'?" Espiria glances over to that door and nods, "Yes. That works. I'll meet you in there as soon as I am thru." She smiles, placing a hand on your shoulder. "We will catch this person. To be sure. She just made a big mistake." She turns quickly, smiling as she hurries up the stairs.
