08/19/2000 Trainee Living Area, White Tower, Tar Valon Three stories worth of polished wooden hallways greet you, along with many doors. Behind these doors are sets of four bunk beds, shared by trainees. There is a wash-up area on the first floor, down the hall, a communal area of wooden tubs that must be hand-pumped to be used. Boys ranging from their early teens to their mid-twenties stroll down this hall, talking or running as the situation demands. There is quite a bit of noise as talk and rough housing are common events here. Oh man. This is either paradise, or Shayol Ghul for the Eharonan. She doesn't have many things to move in, but that's not what's bothering her. She has no idea how she's going to survive without being able to look, or touch, or... ahem. It's pure torture, but that's not even the worst part. She pokes her head into the room she's been assigned. It's empty now, but... 4 bunks? Normally she would grin evilly and plot, but... for once she's actually serious. I have to share a room... with three guys? How is she ever going to keep her secret a secret?? Oh well. She'll worry about that later. Zai- er.. Corain resists the urge to push 'his' hair out of 'his' face. It's been cut, but is still long enough that spikes of bang partially obscure the eyes, and the scar. Yeah. The Eharon's stuck in a paradise of men. There's a bathing area off to the side that she could sneak into and get a peek of... ahem... But not all the trainees are technically men yet. They tend to start out fairly young. Heading out of the area where the baths are, Neelkan is wearing only his trousers, his hair wet slicked down, for a change not poofing up in every direction. The contrast between the white and red of his hair is a lot more drastic as the dampness almost turns the red of his hair closer to brown then bright red, making the white streaks stand out a great deal more. He's heading towards his room, still drying himself with a towel. There's a couple visable bruises here and there, no doubt from training. He's heading right towards where Zai--er--Corain is standing. Though actually the room he shares with Sunan (groan) and Redd is further down. Corain looks up from the bundle in her arms at the someone coming towards her and instantly looks like she's just seen a Fade. Her first thought is actually: sigh, another cute one. Wait.. he looks really fa- and then out comes a curse, something about a pig's... well.. you probably don't want to know, before she darts into the room and hopefully out of sight before he sees her, or before he recognizes her anyway. She got a special corset to flatten out her breasts and add a little thickness to her waist so her figure is more straight, but despite the alcohol of that night, none of that would keep him from recognizing her face. What is -he- doing here?? Swallop, swallop, swallop. Moving towards the fellow trainee, Neelkan's eyes narrow at that 'caught in headlights' look that comes over the young ma--- Wait a moment. It takes a moment or two, in fact a little after she turns and hides in the room again, to recognize who the person is. The key factor in that is the fact that... well... the scar is a little hard to miss. When he was drunk, and became interested in her (Because he WASN'T when he was sober!! Really...) he didn't care much for the scar. He may be Eharon born and raised, but he never much liked the 'Beauty Marks'. He stops in his tracks when he recognizes the woman, then suddenly moves forward, getting into the doorway of the room. "What the---!?" He half yells, then quickly lowers his voice. He doesn't want to attract attention. "What in the bloody Light're ya doin' 'ere??" And he had just started to forget about that silly mistake too... Corain has her back to him, and dumps her stuff down on one of the beds. Dammit, dammit, dammit. "What do you mean, what am -I- doing here," she hisses back. "What are -you- doing here??" Why does the Creator hate her? What did she ever do to him? Well she can't just tell him to piss off 'cause he has a big mouth, so she turns around and crosses her arms. "You can't tell anyone. This is important pum-" oh, wait, she really shouldn't keep calling the guys that should she? What was his name again? "Neelkan. Now get in here, or get out but close that Light forsaken, flaming door before someone gets curious." She couldn't ask nicely or anything could she? No, of course not, this is the woman who's worse than all his sisters. Worse then all his sisters. Because he never had to wake up next to them, in the same bed, naked as the day they were born, did he? Oh, Neelkan had slept in his sister's rooms before, because they had a small house, and not enough rooms for all the kids and he was the only son, so when he had to room with a sibling, it obviously was a girl. He growls for a moment and steps inside, closing the door and says harshly, but not yelling at least, "What could possibly be so flamin' important?? Ya 'ere t' seduce trainees? Is 'at it?" Well she's not getting him. And he's going to make sure she doesn't go after anyone else. Grrr. Grrr. ... He suddenly wishes he had a shirt to put on... Corain snorts and smirks and very firmly resists the urge to glance down at his bare chest. That's not going to help anything at all. "No, not quite. If that were the case I'd ask you to spread the word." Now that the door is closed she's not quite as worried about someone overhearing so she relaxes a little. "And it's none of your burned business! Besides, it's only important to me." Might as well tell him, it might help with the keeping of the mouth shut. "My sister is an Aes Sedai here," shiver. (well she -is- half Essenian) "And I have to be able to get close to her without her knowing I'm here," and with that she hushes, not wanting to explain any more. There's a pause, and Neelkan's eyebrows raise. Her sister? Bet she's a Red! An evil one at that. "Yer tryin'.. t' get close t' yer sis without 'er knowin'?" Sorry, he has no idea why anyone in their right mind would want to get close to their older sister at all. There are a couple Sedai who aren't too bad, but the majority are awful, cruel beasts. Worse then normal women. They think they're so better then everyone else. Grr. Grr. He sighs after a moment and grumps, "Blood 'n ashes. Don't ya go tellin' anyone 'bout... ya know!!" What happened between the two of them... "E'er!" If she agrees to never mention it to anyone, then he'll just try to ignore the fact that he knows her. Or he's going to do his darnedist. But a lot of people may notice that he'll glare at the newest trainee fit to tear to pieces. Corain chuckles very softly. "Alright pumpkin, you tell no one about my secret, and I won't tell anyone about yours." But that doesn't mean she's not going to tease him about it later once she's settled in and back in her element. She grins, "But-" No, no, don't say it Zai. She was going to say if he ever changed his mind... but decided not to push her luck too much. If it wasn't important, she would. So for now she'll just pray that this training stuff isn't as hard as it looks and she'll be able to talk to Katelynn in no time. Ooops, that's her sister? She must not know that she's currently a 'guest' of the Fort... Yeah. Wait til she finds out about all the little rumors going around about him already... Neelkan's got himself in quite a little mess 'relationship' wise here. Not a Red? Drat. Well, Greens can be just as bad! "A'right. Just keep it t' yerself! 'n... stay outta the bath house!" Yeah. That's all he can say to that, and with that said he turns on his heels and heads out the door, slamming it shut again behind him. Grrr. Grr. Grr. First all the Aes Sedai, now he has to deal with a Trainee who he's..... ARG!!!!! Someone just put him out of his misery...
