Barracks Room #41, White Tower, Tar Valon Sometime during the night, probably about three hours after turning in, Neelkan starts to make some noises up in his bunk. Something everyone is likely already used to. The sounds mostly consist of shifting of the sheets, and a few soft mutters for now. Not as bad as some nights tend to be. But then it's usually when he wakes up that the most noise is. Deep inside his lucid dream, Sunan becomes aware of sound hitting his ears, vibrations touching his skin. Neelkan. It doesn't sound too bad. He forms an image of Neelkan, considering in his dream. "Should I wake him? I can't stand not being able to help him. Tonight is the last time. I'm going." With that thought,. he wills himself awake, eyes popping open on his bed. Light, what Neelkan wouldn't give to be able to sleep like that, kid. Instead, the red head is shifting around in the bed, shirtless, but wearing a pair of trousers. His hair's a little damp, and the darkness in the room makes his white streaks in his hair stand out a little bit more. The muttering suddenly turns into small whimpers for a few seconds. Sunan us wearing only his smallclothes. The boy has stated, bluntly, publicly, he hastes clothing, and he jumps at any opportunity not to wear some. Hopping off his bed, and lands on his rear end with a thump. Ouch. Has to remember he's not as strong when he was up as usual. Standing unsteadily, he walks towad the bunk beds Neelkan and Varcel share and makes fr the ladder. And just as Sunan reaches the ladder, Neelkan suddenly wakes up, gasping and kicking his legs against the bed frame with his bare feet (something that no doubt Varcel has come to hate Neelkan for...). He doesn't sit up, but he does open his eyes and stair blankly at the ceiling for a minute, working his mouth a little. Luckily he doesn't seem to have woken the other two up at least. He doesn't even notice he woke one person up yet. He's kind of staring at the ceiling. Sunan pokes his head over the ladder, "Neelkan. Ssssh. It's just a dream. You're lucky I was in a light enough sleep to hear you." He soothes, his voice for once not a monotone. He's trying to imitate what his ma did for he and his sister when they had nightmares. It sounds half-motherly, at least. His chest is reveald as he goes up, so it should be apparent to Neelkan he wears no amulet. When his knees go over, he sits up on teh bed with his older brother. It takes a few moments before Neelkan seems to hear the voice at all, and when he does he quickly glances over, eyes a lot wider then normal and almost... he looks shocked. It takes a few moments, but he gathers himself, blinks a few times, then moves to sit up on the bed, letting the covers fall into his lap. "'ey... Ye'h.. just a dream.." He lowers his head, reaching up with both hands to rack them through his hair. Sunan is very concerned. What is he supposed to do? "Neelkan, if there's something that gives you these nightamres, you can tell me. I'm your brother. But only if you're comfortable." Raking his fingers through his hair a few more times, Neelkan lowers them, and for a change his hair actually sticks back like he left it, probably because it's damp. "Kid, 'ey're just dreams... Nothin' t' worry 'bout." He's still having trouble steadying his breathing though. Doesn't help that the dream he was having and the person he's talking to are... connected... Sunan nods, "I understand that. I also understand that nightmares can be brought on my problems in one's life. Does it have to do with your being a bandit? Or why you became a bandit?" He admits, for the first time to anyone save Redd, "I've even had a couple since I ran away to become a trainee." There's a snort from Neelkan and he shakes his head, muttering softly, "Kid, it has nothin' t' do with m' bein' a bandit. Blood 'n ashes, I 'came a bandit 'en I was a lil' older 'en ya are, 'n t' be honest it was prolly the best thin' 'at e'er happened t' me. 'fore I came 'ere at least." He learned a lot as a bandit. And became much of who he is today. "It's got nothin' t' do 'ith 'at." Sunan inquires, "Why do you have them then? Or dont you know?" He sighs, thinking, "I could teach you how to control your dreams. I'm not certain how I do it, I just... started. But I think I can teach it." "I don't wanna talk 'bout it, Sunan." Neelkan says plainly, looking right at the boy with his blue-green eyes before turning to look at the wall. Sunan, not kid? Hmm. "'n I certainly don't need any bloody help." Stubborn as always... Sunan replies calmly, "I understand. You don't have to." Then, he confesses, "I ran away from my home for the sole reason of making a difference as a Gaidin. I don't know how thwy reacted. There. I have no more secrets." He waits a moment before turning to get off the bed "I ran 'way from home t' get 'way from all the bloody women 'n t' keep from gettin' married off 'n 'comin' just like m' da. Ended up joinin' up with some bandits." Neelkan says with a shrug. "I went back home a few times, but it doesn't flamin' matter. Why should it? 'n what does ya runnin' 'way have t' do with anythin'?"
