I have created this page in honour of Her Majesty Elizabeth the Queen Mother who passed away on March 31, 2001 at the age of 101.

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was born on August 04, 1900. She was the daughter of Claude Bowes-Lyon (14th Earl of Strathmore & Kinghorne) and Cecilia.
She was descended from the Royal House of Scotland.
She married Prince Albert, Duke of York on April 26, 1923 at Westminster Abbey.
It was the first wedding of a king's son in 500 years. The last being when King Richard II married Anne of Bohemia in 1382.
Queen Elizabeth II was the first monarch to ever be born in a house with an ordinary door number. 17 Bruton Street.
Princess Margaret Rose was born at Glamis Castle in Scotland.
King George VI and Queen Elizabeth were crowned on May 12, 1937.
