I love this film. It is Joan at her best as a woman suffering with mental illness. She becomes obsessed with David Sutton played by Van Heflin. This is one of my favorite films of Joan Crawford. This film has been released in a 5 DVD Joan Crawford Collection. This collectors addition is a must for anyone that is an avid classic movie fan. Also they have released a collectors set for Errol Flynn and Bette Davis that I can highly recommend.

Someone else I really enjoy and I wish that I could catch more of his films on television is Rudolph Valentino. I've only seen two of his films but I would love to see all of his films. Considering he was a silent film actor after all of these years he still grabs your attention.
He was born on May 06, 1895 in Castellaneta, Italy. He died on August 23, 1926 in New York City, New York from a perforated ulcer and blood poisoning. I would love to be able to see all of his films. I hope to add to my collection when they become available.

I have to say that it was only recently that I saw the film "Camille" and I really enjoyed it alot. In fact I think it was much better than the sound version with Greta Garbo. Alla Nazimova played Marguerite Gautier. It was the first time I had seen her in a role and I really enjoyed her performance. Also, I liked this Camille better because it didn't have the same ending as in the sound version. In the sound version Marguerite's lover holds her as she dies but in the silent version she successed in sending Armand away and she dies without him. I wish that they would put this out on DVD. I want to add this film to my collect of silent movies. This film also shows you why the women of the day feel in love with Valentino. I do believe even with his accent that he would have been able to make it in sound pictures. He looked that good on the screen. Even after over 80 years since Camille was made he still attracts new fans.

The Four Horseman of The Apocalypse (1921)
    The Sheik (1921)
    Camille (1921)
    Blood and Sand (1922)
The Son of The Sheik (1926)
