Senior Manufacturing Engineer Division
Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing throughout the site while improving quality, delivery, and cost. Coach and monitor others in lean principles.
Key Responsibilities: - Leader of Practical Process Improvement (PPI), Value Stream Mapping, Lean Keys, and Kaizen teams to improve business performance.
- Evaluate manufacturing systems and lead the implementation of lean practices and processes to improve material and information flow.
- Work to establish best practices in the manufacturing engineering group.
- Provide support as required by sourcing, materials, quality, and manufacturing organizations.
- Work with peers and others throughout the business to improve the company’s competitive position.
- Provide project management and leadership for major projects such as factory consolidations and production line moves.
- Improve the service provided to customers to improve overall customer allegiance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable experience. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Experience Qualifications: - Must maintain the highest ethical standards to support a professional business code of conduct.
- Extensive knowledge and background in manufacturing engineering.
- Knowledge of process engineering, standardization and documentation.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with proven ability to effectively plan, implement and administer programs to achieve business objectives.
- Experience leading numerous PPI teams, kaizen teams, and/or improvement teams.
- Material and information flow improvement experience.
- Desire and ability to take on high-profile projects in a self-directed, entrepreneurial, and consultative environment with competing priorities.
- Must have strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Sense of ownership and urgency with projects and work assignments.
- Willingness and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with successful outcomes.
- Willingness and ability to work with issues on the factory floor with successful experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experienced in product and process design from conception through manufacturing with preferred experience in manufacturing for reliability and lowest total cost.
- Experience working with production employees to set up lean manufacturing cells, and creating a visual work cell and visual factory.
