This position reports directly to the Convention & Visitors Bureau director and will be primarily responsible for increasing the number of meetings, conventions, SMERF events and athletic events into the Dubuque area through targeted sales and marketing strategies.

Duties include qualifying leads generated through the Bureau’s marketing efforts; maintaining contact with existing and potential customers; making personal sales calls in designated regional communities; assist CVB Director in planning and executing Sports Marketing goals; assist CVB Director in coordination of the America’s River Festival; involvement in professional organizations as directed by the Director of Sales; represent the Bureau at travel and trade shows as directed by the Director of Sales.   A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred and must be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office.  Some travel required.  Qualified candidates can submit a cover letter and resume to the Chamber office at 300 Main Street, Suite 200, Dubuque IA 52001.  No phone calls please.  Applications must be received no later than December 19^th, 2008.
