·         Provides mentoring, supervision and training of quality department personnel.

·         Prepares yearly Quality Department operations and capital budget

·         Maintains certification of the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.

·         Manages the Quality functions of the facility including HACCP, pest control, GMP audits, plant certifications, SPC and customer audits.

·         Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.

·         Actively participates in management teams within the organization.

·         Assures facility meets all regulatory and corporate quality requirements.

·         Performs audits of suppliers.

·         Oversees monitoring, verification and validation activities to ensure that all products leaving the facility meet Rousselot and/or customer food safety and quality attributes.

·         Provides guidance and leadership regarding disposition of products with deviations from specifications or food safety standards.

·         Trains plant personnel on all aspects of food quality/safety.

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related science field; four+ years in food or pharmaceutical Quality supervision; proficient with the concepts of hazard analysis, risk assessment and root cause analysis.
