John Deere Credit was founded to offer financing solutions to the industries we serve and the customers we know best. In addition to providing retail, wholesale and lease financing to help customers buy John Deere equipment, we also serve the broader needs of the agricultural industry by offering revolving credit, input and operating loans to help farmers purchase needed supplies and services.  John Deere Credit has also recently entered the renewable energy arena with a business unit that focuses on community-based wind projects John Deere Credit's internship program is for students enrolled in fields of study that align with our full-time employment opportunities. Students may enter the program during undergraduate or graduate studies. The majority of our internship experiences are offered in the summer months, usually lasting 13 weeks. Our program provides opportunities to develop an understanding of John Deere's products and services, establish a network of people to support personal and professional growth, and to gain experience in one or more of the following areas: cost management, financial analysis, functional assignments and strategic planning. This position typically performs various professional accounting or finance assignments requiring knowledge of business unit, company policy or accounting theory; including coordinating, preparing, and analyzing financial information and reports that provide summary information for management use in making company financial decisions We currently have four internship opportunities in the following departments Risk,Wholesale, Ag and Marketing MAJOR DUTIES Reviews financial statements, customer information, and credit processing procedures Assists with various projects involving credit guidelines, policies and procedures established by the company Markets and promotes use of our products and product programs Develops and maintains business relationships with credit team members in solving problems, answering questions, and assisting with completing financial documentation Assists with training as needed. Performs additional projects and duties as assigned

An understanding of business processes desired Agricultural experience and an understanding of financial information helpful College courses in agricultural economics, finance, accounting, or business preferred The ability to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis and evaluation of alternative solutions The ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to convince others in both positive and negative circumstances Ability to analyze and assess a situation and make an optimal and speedy decision Proven organizational and problem solving skills The ability to work independently and with others in a team environment Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Access) desired
