Job Description

The University of Dubuque is searching for an Instructor or Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems to begin fall 2009. Preferred candidates will have terminal degree in CIS, CS, or a related field; ABD and master's degree holders will also be considered. Previous proven excellence in teaching is required and industry experience is highly desirable. The successful candidate will teach courses in computer literacy, information security, and web application development with an emphasis on e-Commerce applications and managment information systems. Knowledge of programming and database systesm is also important. Additional responsibilities include scholarship, service, advising, and other duties as assigned by department head. Assistance with ongoing program development and collegiality are also expected.

 

The Tri-state area of Dubuque, Iowa is home to 90,000 people and sits on the bluffs of the Mississippi River at the intersection of the states of Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois.
