Job DescriptionThe University of Dubuque invites applications for a full-time, senior-level, tenure-track position in Criminal Justice, beginning in August 2009 Principal responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester in the undergraduate Criminal Justice program, supervising internships, advising students, active particpation in department and university governance, and community service.
The successful canidate will have a commitment to excellent undergraduate teaching and advising, a record of success in teaching undergraduate Criminal Justice courses, and supplemental professional experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have taught courses in law enforcement, criminology, and police procedures.
Doctorate preferred; a master's degree in Criminal Justice or a related discipline and at least four years teaching experience required. Strong candidates who are ABD or who are willing to complete a doctorate may be considered. Applications will be reviewed as received and accepted until the position is filled.
