In this section I will tell you a little bit about some instruments I like and why. You'll even learn the instrument I play!
Ok, a clarinet is what I play! It is simple, yet a sometimes confusing instrument. It is long and has tons of holes and keys on it. Clarinets are usually one of the melody instruments which makes them fun, but I have found out that they do bass parts sometimes. They are the true woodland instruments with a real forest feel. In my opinion, clarinets are the blondes of the orchrastra, they have the most fun!
An alto sax is a saxophone that is the second smallest. It is gold and has simular fingurings as a clarinet. It is long but then it curves and goes back up. It has a large mouth piece and a big reed. They get melody but sometimes bass. They are also very loud! They're the type of instuments that would get annoying if you practised at home. An alto is not too heavy, but it's not too light either. Alto Sax's are neat instruments, when you play one, tell the people around you to wear ear muffs!
This instrument is like the father of the oboes. This instrument is huge and the finguring looks pretty messed up, but that's not to say that bassoons are bad instruments, they have the best sound! If you've ever seen Peter and the Wolf, a bassoon is in that. Bassoons are big, but they come apart and become small. They get the melody part and the bass part, it's half and half. So, if you want an instrument that sounds really cool, a bassoon is the one for you!
