This was an invitation from The Lawndale Art center to over 300 Texas artists to create their own interpretation of the traditional tin devotional painting practice in Mexico known as "Retablo" .This year I painted a Virgin with little medals hanging as an offering for a wish granted. In Venezuela those offers are found  in lots of the niches were the Virgin and othe saints are placed , and ussually the image of the medal is related to the wish itself.
