the following is an excerpt from an e-mail that i sent to craig a while ago. for the most part it explains(in part) what lara and i have been up to the past little while:

lots of interesting stuff has happened since last i saw you
(lots of uninteresting stuff has happened as well). mainly
the guy in the apartment across the hall pissed me off
enough to force me to move. and so lara and i began to
look for a new apartment. however a short time into the
process of looking for a new apartment, lara's mother
suggested that she buy a house and have us live in it and
pay rent. so in the meantime we moved out of our old place
(the move is a whole story unto itself). lara's mother
also offered to let us stay with her until we could find a
suitable house. so we are currently living downtown. so far
the prospects of finding a decent house in north van in the
next few months are looking somewhat less promising.

also our car blew up. rather a spark plug blew out of the
engine of our car taking some of the threads that were
holding it in with it. this might sound surprising,
however it isn't the first time that this has happened. so
now we are driving lara's mother's old car that she wanted
to sell us anyway. that car however hasn't been without
it's own set of problems (yet another story).

so there you go other things have happened in our lives as well but none as interesting as moving and exploding cars.
