it's the twenty-first century where the hell is my hover car?

it was the second or third week in january before i finally got all of my christmas presents sent out. i don't think anyone was really all that concerned.

our beat down car ended up costing us $800 to fix. we did get a few things fixed other than just the wheel bearing that blew up. however, a few weeks after getting it back, lara got a flat in the rear and we ended up replacing both of the rear tires. it looked to me like someone had actually slashed both rear tires.
after getting all that done the car was rolling again. for a while.
next thing you know lara is complaining about the car losing power. so i eventually bugged adam enough to have him come over and have a look at the car. we ended up replacing the timing belt and the fan belt, all of which go less than flawlessly, but do end up working. for a split second at least.
it would seem that whatever form of monkey decided to work on the car last had heli-coiled all the spark plugs into the engine. excellent.
so the second adam started up the engine with the new belts on it we had a new problem. you see fixing the timing belt fixed the compression problem in the engine, however that same compression was then responsible for blowing said spark plug out of said engine. so a few days later and one heli-coil and one insert kit later the car is again running.

if anyone ever tries to tell you that a vehicle is a valuble time saving piece of equipment, kick thier teeth in.

in other news i have been able to get out on both my bike and snowboard. my hip is quite a bit better now, i don't even have to lye down at work anymore.
thankfully due to the weather co-operating i've gotten to hit the skateparks a few times. as an added bonus i also have new pegs on my bike and they are damn fast.

lara, rainbow (jeff b), and i went to see the dirtbombs a while back. two bass players two drummers and a man with a guitar, how can you beat that.

i know what you're thinking, "they broke up thirteen years agoundre less than ideal circumstances. how are they playing a show?". the fact remains that they are coming here in april. lara and i have tickets for both shows. the tickets sold out in three minutes.

i would write more but it seems that i can't remember anything else important and so i'll have to save it for a future news update.
