sept went by very fast.
began to rain. should be good snowboard year. i hope.
much to my detriment i have started mountain biking again. i rode two
days in a row with paul we hit the trails up on frome, 'ladies only'
was one of them. first ride back on a mountain bike i decided to huck
off a rock drop and promptly bottomed out the suspension on the dh rig
(the cannondale super-v dh that i borrowed from andrew while he's in
paris). i rode out of it though, until i head butted a tree, don't ever
let anyone tell you that full-face helmets aren't worth the money (the
tree came out worse off than i did). about a week later i went riding
with 'death peg' mike who just bought a mountain bike (again). he hasn't
been riding his bmx due to a destroyed rear hub. note: mike is just
as good on a mountain bike, if not better. need-less to say riding with
mike was good for him but bad for me. i rode a pretty big stunt and
promptly fell ten feet off the side and injured most of the left-hand
side of my body. the fall also knocked my left leg out of its socket
(again), which stayed that way for about a week or so.
i don't know if any of you have ever had a limb out of it's socket but
it's damn painful, especially when you have to stand on said limb for
eight hours a day.
i sold my last mosh street frame to jeff from work (whom i've gotten
almost everyone to call rainbow -long story). as well as most of my
parts so he will be riding bmx shortly.
the kills show was cancelled. lara and i did however get to see the
black rebel motorcycle club. it was a pretty damn good show, it's amazing
what a whole lot of smoke and coloured lights can do for enhancing an
experience.
oct.
lara and i saw ween perform for three straight hours. most likely one
of the best shows that i've ever been to.
i've been riding with jeff at kirkstone a few days now. his new bmx
is the first bike that i've ever seen him not manual for more than a
kilometre straight.
chris fraser (from the helldogs) stopped in at work with a new frame
and got me to change some parts over. apparently he broke his freebird
while riding at the dirt jumps by himself. as he pointed out luckily
it didn't brake while riding alone. The same evening i rode leeside
with jeff and lara, and met up with chris and adam.
in reference to my earlier comment, it's still raining. vancouver had
all it's precipitation records shattered for the middle of october;
whistler had snow all the way down to the village at one point. craig
is also moving to whistler, good riddance.
in other good news my leg has gone back into its socket and i have been
making a large number of upgrades and alterations to the dh rig. halloween
was a bust, i have been lying in bed for the past few days due to my
leg now being in continuous pain. fun.
