My Metrics explained:
1. GMP, AMP, OMP. These stand for Goals/Minute Production, Assists/Minute Production, and Offense/Minute Production. These are simply the respective statistics per minute multipled by 1000 for easier use. OMP refers to goals plus assists.

2.
GMPARP, GARP, AMPARP, ARP, OARP. These stand for GMP Above Replacement Player, Goals Above Replacement Player, AMP Above Replacement Player, Assists Above Replacement Player, and Offensive Above Replacement Player. A "Replacement Player" is arbitrarily defined as a player of the same position (forward, midfield, defender) with 75% of the average production for each statistic. For example, if the average GMP for midfielders is 1, a Replacement Level midfielder has a GMP of 0.75. These metrics then measure how much better or worse a player's production has been than a Replacement Player given equal minutes. For example, a player with an OMP of 5 in 270 minutes has accumulated a combination of 5 goals and/or assists greater than a Replacement Player would have in 270 minutes. Once a larger set of data has been accumulated, I intend to change the definition of a Replacement Player. Penalty kicks are only factored in for the general "goal" tally.

3.
SOG, SOG%, SH%. Shots On Goal, Shots On Goal Percentage (defined as SOG/Shots), and Shooting Percentage (defined as Goals/Shots).

4.
YC, RC. Yellow Cards and Red Cards.

5.
GAAA measure total number of goals conceded better than league average given the same number of minutes. AdjGAAA is the same but adjusts for penalty kicks to better judge keeper value.

Adjusted Standings:
1. The Adjusted Standings are based off of goal differential and goals scored. The model is not perfect and in small sample sizes will appear to be extremely far off, even giving impossible results. If this is the case, assume the team is playing either unprecedented soccer or is running well and is unsustainable. In any case, results approaching or exceeding 3 points per game are impossible.

2. Points1 and Difference1 give the teams' Adjusted Points Totals and =/- of their actual points based on goal differential. Points2 and Difference2 include goals scored.

3. GFPPG, DIFFPPG, AVGPPG are Goals For Points Per Game, Goal Differential PPG, and Average PPG. AVGPPG is a weighted average between GFPPG and DIFFPPG.

4. Projected Finish simply multiples the team's AVGPPG by their remaining games and adds it to their year-to-date points totals. No adjustments are made for schedule. All this does is show, assuming the team maintains their current pace of scoring and conceding in their remaining games, how many points they can expect to receive.
The numbers contained on this site were all compiled and calculated by Dylan Lerch. Please send comments and/or suggestions to [email protected].

This site will be updated regularly with more numbers, new metrics, and improved formulas to more accurately assess the worth of Premiership players.

In addition, I hope to add more interactivity to the site in the very near future, including but not limited to the ability to sort the tables.

Thank you for visiting, and enjoy.
