Interview for DEATHTHRASHER MAGAZINE by ARMANDO MUTILATOR : 

DT: Hello, how are you?.
IA: Fine thanks.....

DT: When & why the band was formed? (current line ? up).
IA: The INSANE ASSHOLES ARE born in the 1999 spring, founded by MAURIZIO (screaming and growl voice) after so many attempts, first as guitarist and then as singer. The project began with STEFANO"BURAZ" (drums), and others 3 ugly snouts coming from different groups that leave the band after few months. Later MANUEL (bass) and TOMMY (guitar) entered the band, For about one year formation was: MAURIZIO - voice, MANUEL - bass, TOMMY- guitar and BURAZ - drums.
In the winter of the 2001 BURAZ left the group, immediately replaced by MARCO. In December 2003 MANUEL (bass) leaves the band replaced by ALESSANDRO.
Now the line up is: MAURIZIO - vocals, ALESSANDRO - bass, TOMMY -guitar, MARCO - drums.

DT: Your influences?.
IA: Our influences are different because every member has different musical
tastes that go in general from Thrash to Grind, from Punk- Hardcore to Brutal and Death Metal in general. Our bands of reference for all are : BRUTAL TRUTH, NAPALM DEATH, CRIPPLE BASTARDS, TERRORIZER and S.O.D.

DT: When did you start playing?.
IA: I personally started playing in 1996 with a MISFITS (I love this band!!!) /punk cover band as a guitarist.

DT: What can you talk me about your "Stralci Di Oblio" 2002?.
IA: it's our first release in comparison to the second work it has more influences Hardcore and Death Metal while The texts are more intimist / existentialist. If I could return back I would change a lot of things but thinking well for us it was what we wanted to do at the time. However it remains for us a very important work because it was the first "professional" release and it has been a beautiful experience. Overall it has been a revenge in the respects of whom has not had trust in us since in that period, where we live, the kind that went more was the New Metal and Hardcore played by rich bullshits....

DT: What do you think about Religion, Church and Pope?.
IA: Just few words: lies, illusions for poor souls and carrier of fuckin war.

DT: Do you think that wearing chains, blood, make-up and all that stuff is important for you image?.
IA: No.....we don't play glam or make-up Metal.... our shitty faces are better..... I think that the shows have to be more spontaneous as possible.

DT: Your musical productions? (include rehearsals, demos, etc?).
IA: Out there are two CD, the first is "Stralci di Oblio" and the second is "Nella Stanza"....Demos and other recordings exist but they have never gone out because they were too much us disgusting.

DT: What topics do you consider in your lyrics?.
IA: My texts are personal, intimists based on horror concepts....I am an impassioned of horror movie and I think that the whole world is the stereotype of horror movie, therefore line of personal things in this key.

DT: What do you think about Satanist Rites?.
IA: Do they serve to something? ......... things for fanatical, not for me that I don't believe.

DT: How is a gig with INSANE ASSHOLES?.
IA: Instinct, attitude and heart!!!

DT: Rate the following Italian bands on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being somebody who totally sucks, and 10 being great.
IA: I don't like to give some votes, I am not anybody to judge...... I give only a vote.....

DT: Tell us about your Split CD (2003) with GRUNTER SCREAMS
IA: The our second work "Nella Stanza" it is a CD with most direct and fast
songs, in comparison to the old one "stralci di oblio", it is a work that has given me a lot of more satisfaction to personal level. The grunters screams were ago an old project crustcore loose years, in which MARK, our drummer, played the guitar. They had never published anything of them, so taking advantage of the new of the I.A., we have done the split of it.

DT: What do you know about Peruvian Scene?.
IA: In this moment I don't know how to tell you some name, for the simple motive that I pass in front of names of Peruvian Grind / Death bands but, I have not listened to anything of these bands yet......I promise that I will listen very soon........ Even you could ask more ahead me the question?!

DT: Your fave European bands?.
IA: OH my god, it is a difficult question, they are so many the bands that deserve a lot......... in the underground I say....ISACAARUM, FLESHLESS, INHUMATE, CRIPPLE BASTARDS....... INSANE ASSHOLES???....

DT: What do you think about the Norwegian Black Metal scene?
IA: I cannot say anything, I am not an impassioned of Black Metal, the band black that I listen are 3, therefore of that scene I don't know really that to tell you.

DT: Who designed the INSANE ASSHOLES logo?.
IA: TOMMY, the guitarist, has drawn the letters, the rest I have done it me.

DT: Which one do you consider the best Italian band from ever?.
IA: I think.....CRIPPLE BASTARDS

DT: Of all your productions, which one has given you the most satisfaction?.
IA: For me the second work "Nella Stanza"

DT: Your future plans?.
IA: To end of year we will enter study of recording to create a new release, then the time will tell us thing we have to do.
