DT: Hello VALTIAS, How are you?.
V: I'm just fine. Listening to Skyforger's Thunderforge album and wondering if I should get drunk tonight.

DT: When & why the band was formed? (current line – up).
V: It was Winter 1994/1995AB when ArthemesiA was formed.

DT: Are you natural from Helsinki?.
V: Yes I am.

DT: How old are you VALTIAS?.
V: 27

DT: Your musical influences?.
V: Old Skhool Black / Thrash / Doom / Heavy Metal, Dark Ambient, soudtracks and shit like that.

DT: Who put the name of ARTHEMESIA and why?.
V: It was me. ArthemesiA wasn't used before and it fits to our music.

DT: What memories do you have about CELESTIAL AGONY?.
V: We were fucking shitty band and we got kicked from our rehearsal places because of our misbehaving and drinking.

DT: When did you start playing?
V: I don't play any instruments, but I began "singing" - growling and shreaking - when I was something like 14 years old.

DT: What do you think about Skihneads, Skaters, Punks and Straight Edgers?
V: I have some Skinhead friends, I hate skaters, I have nothing against real Anarchists and I don't know any Straight Edgers.

DT: Do you like drink beer with piss?.
V: I like to have them in different pints.

DT: Are you crazy for cocaine?.
V: Not really, only hallucinogens to me, thanks.

DT: What do you think about Religion, Church and Pope?.
V: Religion must be raped, church must be killed, and pope destroyed.

DT: Do you think that wearing chains, blood, make-up and all that stuff is important for you image?.
V: Not really. But it does bring the desired atmosphere.

DT: Your musical productions? (include rehearsals, demos, etc…) If you have more recording than those appearing above.
V: Hmmm, above? You're a fucked up little troll, ain't you,? We have two demos, one promo, one full-length and we're now recording the new album.

DT: Are you into computers? If you are, what kind of computers do you use PC, Mac or Sinclair ZX-81, Atari 800 XL, Commodore Vic 20?.
V: I'm now answering to you with NES, so what do you think?

DT: How did the idea of "Demo '98?
V: Idea did.

DT: Tell us a little more about the Demo '98
V: Nothing important there, extremely weak fucker. Pay no attention to that.

DT: What topics do you consider in your lyrics?
V: Satanism, Shamanism and some mental issues.

DT: Do you practice Satanist Rites?.... are you into Black Magic?
V: I'm into Occult, I don't practise "Satanic Rites".

DT: What do you think about BORKNAGAR’s “Epic”?.
V: I haven't heard it. Must be a shitty album.

DT: How is a gig with ARTHEMESIA?.
V: We've played only two live shows, so I'm not sure... I was drunk.

DT: Do you played with IMPALED NAZARENE?.
V: No, it would be quite nice to booze with them.

DT: How do you describe your style?.
V: Melodick(less), mystical, technical and aggressive Black Metal.

DT: What do you know about Peruvian Scene?.
V: I know few bands like; Goat Semen, Mortem, Hadez, Kranium and Levifer

DT: Tell me about your NENA's cover 99 Luftballoons
V: You really are a fucked up little troll? We have never made that cover.

DT: Your fave European bands?.
V: Too hard question, some great bands: Root, Elend, Reverend Bizarre, Behexen, Týr, Puissance, Burzum, Coph Nia, Esoteric, Morrigan, Countess, Nifelheim, Mortuary Drape, Törr, Primordial, Hel, Bolt Throewer, Skepticism and many more...

DT: What do you think about Voo – Doo, Black Magic, Satanism and UFOS?.
V: I keep the knowledge for myself.

DT: Do you beleive in God?.
V: No, I don't believe in weak x-tian god.

DT: Do you like INFERIA?.
V: Never heard them. Are they any good?

DT: What can you talk me about UNISOUND RECORDS from Greece?.
V: Fucking rip-off label, I'm glad they quit.

DT: Tell me about the original ARTHEMESIA's line - up.
V: Nothing really to tell. Some friends wanted to play dark music and drink shitloads of booze.

DT: Which one do you think is the best ARTHEMESIA's production?.
V: Or debut, Devs - Iratvs.

DT: Do you like VENOM?.
V: I like old Venom, newer stuff is pretty powerless.

DT: Which was your relation with BARATHRUM?.
V: I know them pretty well and G'thaur from Barathrum is playing bass in ArthemesiA

DT: Do you have the recordings from old times with CELESTIAL AGONY availables?.
V: The songs in Demo '98 are from that era. 

DT: Is MIKA LUTTINEN a friend of yours?.
V: Not a friend, but I've met and talked to him few times.

DT: Talk me about "The Archaic Dreamer" (1999) please.
V: Pretty weak production on that demo, three songs eventually got re-recorded to our debut year later.

DT: Is it true that in your teenage years besides palying in Metal bands, you worked as a Porno Actor?.
V: Of course it is true. I was called Diktator666 in some snuff-S/M videos.

DT: Were you into Punk Rock? What do you think of the Punk Rock Scene of the Late 70’s?.
V: In my very early years (in the 80's/early 90's) I listened to some shit like RYTMIHÄIRIÖ (which is actually great even now), Bad Religion and some HC-shit like Sore Throat etc.. I couldn't care less about Punk in the 70's

DT: Do you consider "Devs Iratvs" (2001) like a Black Metal classic?
V: Of course, not.

DT: Tell us about ENSIFERUM.
V: What to tell? Some guys are in ArthemesiA too. I don't like that kind of music at all, but they have some great songs.

DT: Who designed the ARTHEMESIA's logo?.
V: It was I.

DT: Who’s darker, MICHAEL JACKSON or GARY COLEMAN?
V: Both are.

DT: Of all your productions, which one has given you the most satisfaction?.
V: Our debut, Devs - Iratvs.

DT: Tell me about your Promo 2002 please.
V: 25 copies made for labels exclusively, it has four songs (demo versions) from our fothcoming album.

DT: Your future plans?.
V: To eat some magick 'shrooms and destroy humankind.

DT: Give us some reasons to listen to ARTHEMESIA?
V: No reasons at all.
