| I am a physicist who specializes in acoustics and I am doing everything within my power to destroy ignorance (a.k.a. nonsense) through elimination of fundamentalist thinking, actively destroying arguments based on appeals to a �higher� power, and a strong proponent of critical thinking. I believe that it is loss of this ability to critically analyze data�and concomitant loss of ability to question accepted dogma�that is leading our world towards a course of self-destruction, whose only cure is to be found in a return to teaching the rudiments of such critical thinking skills to our children... | |||||||||||||||||||||

| I design acoustical spaces (mostly recording studios) but I read endlessly on a huge variety of subjects. I enjoy baseball, football (American variety), Australian Rules football, Astronomy, Super String/Membrane Theory, Chaos theory, Mathematics, History, debate, the destruction of any concept that there is a �God� who entices humans to write apocalyptic �prophecies� (a.k.a. fantasies of idiotic fiction), Chemistry, Biology, Genetics, politics and working as a volunteer paramedic. I believe the universe is understandable only by means of science and that all attempts to pass off religion as �scientific theory� (such as Intelligent Design) should be stamped out in a manner analogous to squashing an annoying cockroach, for that is what the proponents of such nonsense are� Long live Einstein and his intellectual brethren� |
