Individually, the d.tuned and crapwagon.com racing teams utilised many strategies on race day to bring their cars up through the field from their starting positions, and also to devise plausible excuses for any failures that the team may encounter along the way.

The merger which brought about dTCW gives the team full access to the d.tuned RDT, the research and development team run by d.tuned, Inc., and the former CWRT's race strategies.

In season's past, the CWRT team has used their now infamous WFOTSU strategy, where they would sit back and relax, expecting someone else to screw up, hence it's name, 'Waiting For Others To Screw Up.' The CWRT side of the team are also one of the masters of scoring computer crash-timing, where they would make the vital pass or passes just moments before the race standings are recorded, and the scoring computer crashes.

d.tuned have pioneered their post-race suckage evaluation techniques, which has allowed the team's name to remain in the headlines even if they do not win a race. Due to their marketing genius, the team can go for the next forty-seven years, operating two cars, and only scoring five points average per season, if their sponsors pulled the plug on the operation now. But why would they want to?

Their merger has also brought outside interests into the dTCW group. Mommymushbrain has joined, dissolving the nyahmobile squad and introducing her patented drunk-driving style to the group. The team has been demonstrating their new skill in practice sessions where they punted numerous cars off the track, clearing their path quickly and effectively.

Gnam, world renowned law-enforcement-evasion specialist, has also joined the team, piloting the Gramma's Own car, he has already demonstrated his brilliance in evasion. If Gnam is out front, you can almost guarantee he will not be caught.

S_Moore has also joined the team. Using his knowledge of climate and environment from around the world, through his association with the Discovery Channel, S_Moore can accurately tell the team when it is raining and when it is, in fact, dry. This information is useful as the team will know whether to change to wet-weather tyres and, more importantly, whether to cover their Playstation Portables.

Before the merger, the teams explored every avenue to improve their performance, however, that would now be inefficient, and the team has now began exploring streets, boulevards, lanes and many other types of streets in order to gain that competitive edge. Their combination of resources and experience has made dTCW one of the teams with the greatest potential in the series, as the team owners and sponsors have spared no expense in motivating the drivers to wreck their competition.

The team will, as they always have, continue to push the envelope until it either falls, is blown away or is needed to mail a letter.
