GNAM GETS WIN ONE AT RA, ONE UPS THESTRANGER. At the Red Roof Inn's sprint at Mid-Ohio, DTCW co-owner, TheStranger, started from pole with KPW driver, kahauna dreamer, in third. The pair rocketed away to an early lead, putting more than fifteen seconds between them before pitstops. Unfortunately, kahauna dreamer hable to get around The Stranger at the end of the first pit stop cycle as he was on an alternate strategy The end of the race saw TheStranger close right in on kahauna, but he was unable to make the pass without contact due to the track's lame nature and was forced to settle for second. CWGT Rookie sensation, Gnam, started the 10th race of his CWGT career at the Pabst 500 Road America. Qualifying 14th, and racing consistently, Gnam was up to 2nd place by the end of the Pitstop cycles on lap 91, having briefly led, swapping a few times with his teammate, Dan Belcher. After Dan suffered an accident and was forced to retire, the race came down to Gnam and BooBoo. With seven to go, Gnam pitted and gave chase, hunting down the Ford. Gnam pushed hard, forcing BooBoo into a mistake, causing him to smack hard into the UNSAFER barrier and retire late in the race. The rookie in the #20 Gramma's Own Porsche ran hard, despite being under no pressure, showing his raw talent in a car that - we will now admit - suffered from a bent right front wishbone for more than two-thirds of the race. Gnam brought the car home 1:14.17 seconds ahead of the second place car for his first career win. With this win, Gnam moves into 4th in the French University Championship Kettle standings, on 145 points. He also boosts Porsche, Goodyear and dTCW to the head of the Constructors, Wilderness and Team cups, respectively, and also puts Gnam at the top of the $1,000,000 Rookie Standings, 90 points clear of dTCW teammate, S_Moore. dTCW co-owner, TheStranger, said "Well, I
have to say, I can't be satisfied with second place. I had the best car
on the track all day, just absolutely no room to pass here at Mid-Ohio. dTCW - d.tuned/crapwagon.com - is competing in CWGT5 for the French University Championship Kettle. GNAM SCORES SECOND PLACE AT MONZA. dTCW 's season kept on rolling with their off-season signing, Gnam, scoring a second place in only his fourth CWGT career start. At the Monza 1000k, Gnam started 8th and raced consistently and error free, all the while chasing the leaders. He kept his cool, and kept in touch, as the drivers ahead made mistakes and damaged their vehicles. At the end of the race, Gnam said "Hats off to KD. He nearly lapped the field. DTCW had some tough incidents today, but the team rallied back to four points paying spots. I'm really pleased with the way my race turned out. Gotta thank Gramma and those tasty cookies." Harry Jekyll, the team's chief engineer, said "Nice. We're getting there." dTCW - d.tuned/crapwagon.com - is competing in CWGT5 for the French University Championship Kettle. The 10-car dTCW outfit officially launched their campaign at the 200 mile ADAC-Norisring-Trophae, 200 Meilen Von Nurnburg. dTCW drivers started 2nd, 4th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 23rd, 33rd, and 34th. Dan Belcher rocketed away into the lead and would have destroyed the field, had it not been for some inept drivers - who need to be enrolled at the d.tuned Driving school - punting him into the tyre wall and removing him from competition. TheStranger took over where Dan left off, leading for a while, before being involved in number of incidents that saw him relegated to third. "I'm disappointed that I had to be involved in many incidents in the Boschkurve time and time again; I can't really blame my teammates, despite some of the public remarks I made in the paddock. I blame Bosch for sponsoring a dangerous curve and bribing the safety workers, who did not do any cleanup work!" dTCW chief engineer, Harry Jekyll, added "The team is working hard, and, of course, we're aiming for that $20,000,000 team championship and the free F.U. Gone Wild videos. We've identified some areas in the car that we may be able to improve on, so we'll have some updates out by the next event." After being screwed out of the win, Dan Belcher said "F***ing Cartcanuck and RobGuru!" dTCW - d.tuned/crapwagon.com - is competing in CWGT5 for the French University Championship Kettle.
