| Doris was born in Puddington, the Wirral on 5 November, 1912 and is the twin sister of my grandfather. Her parents were James Oman Ballard and Jessie Nyren Hill. She married Peter Shelling on 4 April, 1942. They emmigrated to Nelson, New Zealand in 1950. She died on the 21 February, 1981. | ||||||||
