I am a retired US Air Force officer and a Vietnam veteran. I have traveled extensively during my military career to Europe, Australia, and the Far East. I have had military post assignments in Texas, New Mexico, Vietnam, the Philippines, Ohio, Colorado, Hawaii, and Florida. I retired from my civilian employment in April 2003 with the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve in New Orleans, LA as an Inventory Manager..
After Hurricane Katrina we moved from New Orleans back to my home state of Ohio and settled near Tipp City.
My hobbies include personal computing, photography, pen and ink illustrations, the fine arts (all types), and reading of historic and action-adventure type novels. I am a student of American History.
A new recent interest has been genealogy and I have been able to trace my ancestry back to early colonial America and Europe. My great-grandfathers fought in the American Revolution for independence under George Washington's command. I also volunteer at the National Museum of the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. I am a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
I enjoy the martial arts and practice Chinese Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung exercises daily. Although I am a Christian, I am interested in the Buddhist-Taoist philosophy of life and following Tao to personal enlightenment and fulfillment.
