Jeremy
Jeremy
is 2 years old.
Jeremy lives with his Mommy and Daddy in Arizona with
two brothers and one sister.
He loves to play outside...especially on
the swings and slide!! His favorite sign is "again". He uses this often
after anything he likes!
Jeremy is combat crawling and is getting
stronger every day with the help of his brothers and sister. They play
"hide and go seek" with him and chase him all over the house. He loves
to "read" books, especially if they have animals in them.
He has only
about 3 spoken words, but loves to babble and can sign about 35 words
now!! He is even putting 2 signs together often. His family is sooooooo proud
of him!
Taylor
Taylor
is 5 years old.
Taylor is going into
kinergarten this year. She lives with her parents Robin and
Dennis. She also lives with her sisters Martika age 8 and Ashley age 1year,
and her brother Jeffery age 2.
Her favorites are Winnie the Pooh and
Teletubbies. She doesn't have many health problems other than needing
glasses and a very small hole in her heart.
She is a very happy and healthy
little girl.
Karrie
Karrie
is 3 years old.
Karrie lives with her Mom and Dad and sister Kate who is 9. She has 2
older brothers, one is 33 and one is 25.
Karrie attends a pre-school where she is the only child with special
needs.
Karrie has a wonderful sense of humor. One of her
favorite "funnies" is to sign-jibberish (just nonsense wiggling of her
fingers), then cover her mouth with both hands and giggle! Barney, Teletubbies, her baby-doll and several stray kittens are
Karrie's main joy in life. But then, pretty much everything and everyone
are Karrie's favorite things.
Rachel Joy
Rachel is one-years-old!
She lives with her Mom, Dad, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Theyare
Ken, Irene, Jacob, 15; Phillip,12; and Jessica,9.
The fact that she has Down Syndrome doesn't matter at all. She is such fun!! You
should see her face light up whenever any one of her brothers or sister walk
in the room!
Rachel had a small hole in her heart when she was born but that
is gone now. She checked out fine at her one year check-up. She
loves music of any kind! I think that is why she loves to watch Barney and
play the piano.
Brianne
Brie is 19 years old.
She is the only child to Brian and Anne (in which she shares pieces of their names). Brie is also very loved by her 5 cousins Asa, Olivia, Amanda, Scott and Davis and her dog "L.S.."
Brie is a senior in high school, she loves US History and English, where she is mainstreamed into regular classes. Brie also enjoys poety - especially Shakesphere- and Martin Luther King. Math has always been her least favorite subject, although she has been managing her own checking account for the past year!
Brie has very high hopes about her future and is known to be very determined. She is her own best advocate! She aspires to be many things: a broadway star, a trainer of whales and dolphins, a comedian, computer data processer,
a wife, a cardiologist, among other things. For her, the sky really is the limit!
Mecca
Mecca is 3 years of age.
Mecca lives with her two, very proud parents, Ernest and Joycelyn, two big brothers Melvin (11) and Marcellus (10), and one older sister Miana (6).
Mecca loves to play dolls, but her favorite thing is to pretend to do her mother's hair. Every now and then, Mecca attempts to play her brothers' video games. And out of all the children in her family, Mecca is always in charge! She is also the youngest, which is why they often call her "baby girl."
Mecca is making great strides in her over-all development at the National Children's Center in Washington, DC.
