keverne was born in the depths of winter, as the product of her green's mating flight to one of the riders. she had no time for the child, and fostered him out to the first woman who offered to take him: the ast. headwoman nerriem. keverne grew up not knowing who his birth parents were, and was content with that. he had plenty of love from his foster family: a mix-matched group of weyrbrats governed by one woman. he never lacked for friends or foes, and grew up to be more or less average. when he hit sixteen keverne was already amongst the tallest people living at the weyr, and definately one of the burliest. he reveled in his strong appearence, and found it very easy to get females to notice him because of it. when he was eighteen he was given the opportunity to stand for the current green's clutch, and refused. keverne, normal to the core and proud of it, felt there should be something more to impressing, than just standing there. one should feel it, as a calling, deep within them. so at nineteen, keverne has yet to choose a trade, has yet to stand, and likes it that way. although lately his activities revolve around helping the beastcrafters in their neverending search for the answer to the mystery of genetics, it is highly unlikely he'll settle on that as a career. | ||||||
