Yasa and Tsiath
You really should be more careful when you're telling them how to mend threadscore. Tsiath said, hissing with pain.  The weyrlings Yasa had been instructing on proper dragon/threadscore care were running off, yelling loudly.
"Sorry."  Yasa mumbled as she began re-wrapping the bandages around Tsiath's foreleg.  It itself was threadscored, not badly, but enough to take Tsiath out of action for awhile.  Tsiath didn't mind as much as Yasa did-maybe because Yasa was accused of doing it on purpose just to practice her healing skills.
In truth it had been no ones fault.  The wind had been changing direction too often that day to let any dragon or rider get a grasp on where the Thread was falling.  And to avoid getting wing hit, Tsiath had done a barrel roll and gotten it on her leg.  Yasa had never been more glad for fighting straps.  Luckily Tsiath handled pain pretty stoically, and it was easy for Yasa to tend to the green dragon.

I am a problem for you?  Tsiath asked worridly, and Yasa quickly finished wrapping the bandage while she reassured her dragon.
"No of course not lovely, I was just thinking.  Suppose you and I go to another Weyr next time you're due to rise?"

Why?  I cannot lay eggs, I've already started firestone.  If it is not for the eggs, than I have no reason to help the blood with who catches me.  Not that anyone will. Tsiath said cheerfully, and Yasa smiled.
"No lovely, I was thinking more so I could meet some new riders.  You're not as proddy as some greens, but dear, I'd like to find myself a nice mate.  I'd like to have a child or two before betweening makes me sterile."  Yasa grieved at that.  After Tsiath's first flight Yasa and found herself pregnant.  She had been twenty then, and considered it an ideal situation.  She wanted children of her own so badly....But she had miscarried.  It hadn't been due to between the Healers told her, it was a random event.  Yasa had been heartbroken, and Tsiath shared her riders misery.  Sincer then Tsiath rose many times, never allowing the same male to catch her twice.  The green dragon said it would do her rider good to have many men.  Yasa agreed.
It was now a year since she lost her child, and Yasa was beginning to feel the urge to have another one.  She also didn't want to admit it to herself, but despite the green dragon, she was lonely.  Tsiath felt this, and gently reminded Yasa that humans needed companions of their own species too.

Would we have to leave Beach Shards? Tsiath asked, not worridly, just curious.  Yasa took that as a good sign and nodded.
"Yes, well, I'd like to.  We could follow A'kel out west, and join DawnSisters."

They had a plague. Tsiath shuddered.  Three turns ago.  Yesereth told me.
"Yes lovely, but it's better now.  They've moved and all..."  Yasa sighed, tucking the edges of the bandage cloth in for a safe measure and patting Tsiath's shoulder.  "As soon as you're better, we'll go there.  Alright?"

Fine. Tsiath said, beginning to croon.  She knew her rider was upset over the loss of the hatchling, and tried to make it better.  Although Tsiath didn't understand why humans cared so much for their offspring.  It baffled her.  Yasa smiled gently, and left her dragon to mend.
