| Denne? The small blue dragon's voice woke Denne from a deep sleep. Denne blinked harshly before realizing what it was. Yes love? She asked grogily, and snuggled deeper into her pillow. She felt the blue sending his reassuring presence, and wondered what was wrong. I want to chase. Rainelth said finally, and for a moment this didn't register with his rider. "Wha...?" She asked into her bed, hoping the dragon would have saved this until she was completely awake. I said I want to chase. All the other blues have chased, and I haven't. There is a green, at Dark Moon, she is lovely...... "Green? Where? Dark Moon? Why not chase a green here Rainelth?" Because I like Camoreth, I think. Anyway, I have been watching her for a very long time now, and I don't like any of the greens here besides. Not in a mate way. Please Denne? I never get to do anything, we're always on Search. But this is our time off, so I should be able to chase, right? Denne had to feel sympathy for her dragon. He was right. All the time that he and she were out Searching he never got to do much with the other dragons; and she was to busy to form an attachment to any of the other greenriders...most of which were female now. You'll take Nallian with you of course. Rainelth said eagerly, and Denne smiled. Of course she would take Nallian, but what would Camoreth's rider do? What was her name? Callisto? That was it....What would Callisto do? Camoreth's rider can figure that out for herself. Rainelth snorted, and Denne heard him whine eagerly. Please? We must go now if I can....she will fly soon, and you must prepare yourself, and Nallian. Denne yawned, pondered everything for a moment, and then finally agreed. She had no right to stop her dragon from flying, not that she could anyway if he really wanted to, but all the same.... Good! Rainelth warbled lightly, I will tell Luith and he will tell the Weyrleader when he wakes up, we will not be missed! And Denne moaned, threw the covers back, and complained loudly for Rainelth's benefit that he never let her get any sleep. She watched as Rainelth curled back up and began dozing, trusting his rider to be ready in time, and Denne could have kicked him for it. |
