| Amber began to look nervous. "Are you and her?" she asked quietly. "Nah, we're over, she dumped me," Greg said trying to act cool. There he said it, that we're over. "Oh, was it because of me?" Amber asked dodging eye contact with Greg. "Oh no, we just had different ways. No we broke up before I met you," Greg ressured her smiling. "Oh," There was dead silence. Greg began to feel uncoftroable. "Listen, I was wondering," Greg said to Amber. What am I doing? he asked himself. "if you wanna see a movie tonight, or hang out at the carnival." Amber's eyes lit up, and she laughed. "Are you asking me out?" she asked questionably. "Mybe, I could be, or maybe I just wanted to invite you out, for being so nice to me," Greg replied. "Fine, then I accept, we'll met at the fair at 6." "Girl, forget about him," Cally pleaded with Amanda, who was heart broken. It was only a few minutes ago, Amanda saw Greg and a girl, laughing and talking. The site made Amanda sick, like she could throw up. "I can't, Cally. We've been going out, for what seems like eternity, and I really miss him," Amanda stammered trying to hold back tears, that were ready to drown her pretty face. Cally relized how much Greg meant to her friend. She sat down on the bench next to Amanda, who she could tell was in pain, pain that went deep, inside the heart, like a lightning bolt striking at a person. "Amanda," she told her friend softly. "He's probaley just testing how he feels, every realationship has fights, and if it didn't then it wasn't real," Cally said to her friend. Amanda looked up, and Cally saw what she never saw before. For once Amanda was heart broken, which Cally had never seen, mostly Amanda would shrug it off, and paste a smile on her face when it came to boys dumping her. "Come on let's go to the fair, tonight, we'll have a big party, just us girls. Meet me at my house at 4," Cally told her friend giving her a pat on the back then leaving. Amanda nodded and left too. You'll be fine, she resured herself. But inside she knew that she wouldn't be fine. Three hours later, Cally sat on her bed braiding Amanda's hair into a french braid. "So, it's just us right?" Amanda asked Cally nervously. "Yup, you, me, Haley, Lindsey, and Taylor, just the five of us girls," replied Cally, as she put the rubber band on her friend's hair. Amanda sighed. "You know Cally, I really appreciate this. It's really helping me," Amanda said. Cally couldn't help but smile. "You're fine. He's going to come back, and you know it," Cally said. Two hours later Greg was looking for Amber. Suddenly a pair of hands slipped over his eyes. "Hey Amber," Greg said laughing a real laugh. Amber smiled, as she let her hands drop from Greg's face. "So what do you wanna do?" she asked looking around the carnival. "LEt's hit the rides!" "I'm warning you Greg Raposo, I live for rides!" At the other entrence five girls walked in, chatting. Amanda was among them, chatting. "So what do you want to do first?" Haley asked. "The rollar coster," teased Amanda. The group laughed. "Can I help if I thow up?" asked Haley as she nudged Amanda playfully. "Listen you guys can go, I'm getting myself some candy," Haley told the girls, as she wondered away from the group. " How about 2 milk chocalate bars Greg?" a voice asked not far away. Haley being her usual curious self looked over to see Greg and a girl. "Oh shoot!" she thought. The girls had taken Amanda to get her mind off Greg, and there he was with another girl! "Yeah whateva, Amber," Greg laughed as he put his hands around her waist. Haley got out of line, to find the girls. We gotta get out of here! "Oh Greg, you are so sweet," Amber gushed, as Greg put his arms around her waist. "Hey, I'm all about that," Greg said flirting more. What am I doing? he asked himself, as Amber put her head on her shoulder. "Come on girls, let's get out of here," urged Haley as her friends got off the rollar coaster. "No way Haley, we just got here, we got rides to catch," Amanda told her. "I saw Greg and another girl, we really gotta jet, just in case," whispered Haley into Cally's ear. "Yeah, there's nothing here anyway, let's jet," agreed Cally. "Guys, don't be wimps, you-" Amanda was cut off as a girl stumbled into Amanda spilling grape juice on Amanda's new white blouse. "Opps sorry, I am so sorrry," the girl apoligized. Amanda frowned as she stared at the girl. Something was so familar about the girl, but she couldn't but her finger on it. "Hey Amber what's wrong?" a familar voice asked from behind Amanda. She turned around to come face, to face with Greg. Amanda looked from Greg to Amber, remembering where she had seen her. It was at the mall, where Amanda had caught them together. |
